Supreme Court to strike down individual mandate

Whether it's good policy or not is your opinion and you have a right to it, but your duly elected government thought it was good enough for all 3 branches.

Fair enough. Fortunately there is an election coming in November and if the stars line up the right way we all get to look at this whole "good policy" question again from a different angle. It won't matter whether it's a tax or a penalty...it will just be repealed. End of story.

I wish the GOP had a stronger candidate to go up against Obama but it seems we will have to go with what we know. ANYBODY would be better than Obama. I'm not happy with the outcome of the Supreme Court ruling but, unlike many on the left would have done, I won't get on the bandwagon to cry foul in their findings. It is what it is.

This much I know....if Obama and the Democrat majority aren't defeated in November....this country is in deep, deep trouble.

Yup, that's my opinion on the matter. I'll check back with you in November.

And I feel the same way about a Romney presidency and/or a GOP majority in EITHER house...

The election in November will tell me all I need to know about where this country is heading. I get one vote...so do you. What I'm curious about is whether the country as a whole feels we are heading in the right direction. I see this decision as a symptom of a much bigger problem. I think the left is taking this country directly into the crapper. Bad leadership and a blind following. I'm hoping you are a minority in November because if you aren't then our days as a truly free nation are numbered.

I think this ruling really has awoken a sleeping giant. I hope logic prevails and we throw Obama out of the White House and all the rest of those left leaning assholes out of Congress.

You really are full of yourself aren't you. I just love arrogant people.

Seems that the CBO's numbers may need a little work.

The Obamacare Surge
Cuts in Tricare program could add billions to cost of Affordable Care Act

http://freebeacon.com/the-coming-obamacare-surge/

A 2011 Employment Policies Institute report concluded the Congressional Budget Office may have substantially underestimated the amount of employees who will leave their employer’s health insurance plan and join one of the government-subsidized exchanges.

In one of its models, the EPI study estimated 8.6 million people joining the exchanges would stick taxpayers with $38 billion more in gross subsidy costs than the CBO originally projected.

“One way or the other, there is a tremendous threat of those exchanges being more expensive than imagined,” said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, the president of the American Action Forum, a center-right advocacy organization.

But I'm pretty sure the left already knows this bill is a farce. Bad policy is bad policy.

I said "the REAL CBO REPORT--not the FauxNews and right-wing blog's "interpretation" of it..." "freebeacon.com" doesn't qualify...

No, actually the Left KNOWS that we have won, and it's a GOOD policy... And the GOP has NOTHING in its holster but "Repeal....No replace." They don't have a single idea... And if you ask, the answer is: "If we tell you, we'll lose the election."

With statements like, "I wish the GOP had a stronger candidate to go up against Obama but it seems we will have to go with what we know.", I sleep easy at night knowing that that kind of thinking isn't going to sway too many independents toward voting for the He's the best we can come up even if we don't even like him crowd.

It's just me admitting that the GOP candidate is not infallible. How about Mr. Obama?

When a person is called 'infallible', this can mean any of the following:
1.Some (or all) statements or teachings made by this person can be relied on to be certainly true. (Not sure the Europeans see him in this light)
2.This person always makes good and moral choices, and his actions may never be considered immoral or evil. (Executive privilege on the Fast and Furious debacle has me wondering about the whole transparency thing)
3.This person is always right, and never wrong or incorrect. (Well this pretty much sums up Obama right)

With the kind of ego Obama and his followers project....I can imagine the thought of infallibility is just a given eh? And I hope you and all his believers keep thinking that smug thought.

There will be one more "vote" on the ACA and the Administration in November. I'm not going to get too excited about things until then. We will see.

I'm still hoping for Jill Stein, but wonder if she'd be able to pull off any change with both entrenched Dems and Reps in Congress blocking any of her efforts. Or would they get the hint that they need to start compromising if they want to keep their jobs? Because a sweep of Independents at the mid-term to clear out the corrupt trash would rock!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
