I wonder if normally free books can still be downloaded for free? And do they leave whatever was downloaded on that room's Kindle on there for the next guests to read? I'd go in and purchase a bunch of my favorite romance novels! I hear
Fifty Shades of Grey
is pretty popular these days.
For a two-week trial period, the Hotel Indigo in Newcastle, England, has replaced hard copies of the holy book with electronic versions accessible through the Amazon e-reader, The Telegraph reported.
Guests can also download other religious texts free of charge. Other reading material can be purchased at an additional cost.

Sounds like a good idea to increase hotel revenues.
But I don't know. I might thumb though a Bible, but I'm not sure I'd want to touch a Kindle in a hotel. What was the previous guest reading? :VeryScared:
According to some of my girlfriends, if it was Fifty Shades of Grey, you don't wanna know what they were doing after a few chapters. LOL

:VeryScared: I suppose you cheered when the Taliban blew up those Buddhas in Afghanistan too?
Just because it isn't for you, is no reason to deny it to others.
Back on topic,
Gideons should cut a deal with e-readers to pre-load the Bible. Users could always choose to delete it.

Just what one would expect from an intolerant, exclusive bigot. Tell us SFB - why do you feel entitled to destroy the property of others simply because you disagree with them and why are you a supporter of destroying books that don't agree with your particular point of view?

Book-burner... wow... LJ's in some fine company now!
Of course, everyone knows she's the queen of "They did it first" excuses for moronic behavior.
