Something the Dog Said wrote: since he has never stated that he was born in Kenya, he has not lied. He has always maintained that he was born in Hawaii. but you knew that. so how about that constitutional basis for those transcripts. Or how about the driving incident when his passenger was killed.
And you, of course, have proof of this claim you are making - that he never said he was born in Kenya - right Dog? I'm not talking about what you believe, I'm talking about what you can prove to be so. Truth of the matter is you have no way of knowing where Obama was born. You may believe what he says, but that isn't the same thing as knowledge of it.
So I am supposed to prove that he has never stated that he was born in Kenya. Don't have to. The burden is upon the one who is alleging a fact, which I note that you have failed to meet that burden. Can you prove that he has stated that he was born in Kenya?
I have a fair amount of circumstantial evidence to support the premise. Every published author knows that the publisher gets the information for the author's bio from the author. Whether they fact check the information they are provided with or not, they are working with information that is provided to them. The information provided to the publisher that Obama was born in Kenya came from somewhere Dog - an infinite number of monkeys pounding on an infinite number of keyboards didn't come up with that information after all.
If, as reported, the information didn't come from Obama, then where do you think the information that was provided for his author's biography for the fictional stories of his life came from? I have a good idea of where it came from - but for some odd reason Obama doesn't want anyone to have a look at his college application papers, anything he wrote for his thesis, or anything he wrote while he was the first ever African-American president of the Harvard Law Review in order for that idea to be shown as correct or incorrect.
Can you explain for us how his author's biography managed to get updated with all of his recent accomplishments such as his election to the Illinois State Senate, his keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention and his election to the US Senate while this one glaring error about his being born in Kenya remained untouched for 17 years and was only corrected at the same time the accomplishments of his parents during the course of their lives was downplayed in an effort to support the desire of Obama to be seen as emerging from humble roots? Those were expensive and exclusive schools that Obama attended - both as a child in Hawaii and while in college.
This president of ours in on the record saying that he wouldn't be where he was today without others being there to pick up the bill for his education, yet he is totally unwilling to allow us to see who it was that paid for that education for some odd reason. I have an explanation as to where the information contained in Obama's author's biography about his being born in Kenya originated - do you?
Of course I do. Why not try the actual source, although that is not as much fun as the hoops and gyrations you go through to get to your convulated conclusion.bama's former literary agency misidentified his birthplace as Kenya while trying to promote the then-Harvard Law grad as an author in 1991.
According to a promotional booklet produced by the agency, Acton & Dystel, to showcase its roster of writers, Obama was "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."
Miriam Goderich edited the text of the bio; she is now a partner at the Dystel & Goderich agency, which lists Obama as one of its current clients.
"This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me--an agency assistant at the time," Goderich wrote in an emailed statement to Yahoo News. "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more."
Of course you know that there is not a shred of credible evidence that President Obama was born in Kenya, yet you continue to bear false witness that he was.

And you are attempting to gloss over what she did say to imply something that she didn't say. What she did say was that the information she was given for the bio wasn't fact checked by her. What she did say was that the information that she was provided with for the bio and didn't fact check when she edited it didn't come from Obama. What she hasn't said is where the information which didn't come from Obama that she was provided with and didn't fact check during the editing process came from originally. She didn't say that she inserted that information when she edited the bio because it was missing and she naturally figured that since his father was Kenyan she presumed that he was born in Kenya. She didn't say where the information, which she didn't fact check, came from originally and no one at the publisher has stepped forward as the source of that information that she was provided with.
The original source of that information therefore remains unaccounted for other than it didn't come from any of the direct communications that Obama had with the agency - it says nothing of correspondence with other people associated with Obama. Neither the publisher nor Obama has claimed responsibility for the assignation of his birthplace as Kenya - so where did the information that he was born in Kenya originate and why was that error not found for over 17 years despite numerous updates to the bio? Ask any published author whether or not they receive a copy of their bio to edit and approve before it is published Dog. They will all tell you that they did. Obama may not have provided the information to them, but neither did he correct the error for 17 years until he, or someone associated with him, decided to provide them with new information for his bio after Obama decided to campaign to be the union's next president. The new information curiously redefines his parents from being accomplished individuals to being common people and failing to mention their accomplishments, in addition to correcting the location where he was born. Why do you suppose he would remove, or agree to the removal of, the accomplishments of his parents from that bio? And why, when the location of his birth was questioned and said, as his bio did, that he was born in Kenya didn't he say that it was the result of the error contained in his bio for 17 years that he had only recently discovered instead of attempting to belittle anyone who dared suggest that he had not been born in Hawaii? I'm pretty certain that Obama knew where that misinformation had come from originally, since he himself had recently seen to it being corrected, but he chose to keep that information close to his vest instead of being transparent about its origin for some odd reason. Why would he do that?
Of course you know that there is not a shred of credible evidence that President Obama was born in Kenya, yet you continue to bear false witness that he was.
Unfortunately SFB, the allegation doesn't stick. What I have said repeatedly is that I don't know where Obama was born and I question the authenticity of the documents that are supposed to show that he was born in Hawaii. There are too many strange things about the document for me to believe it hasn't been tampered with in some manner at some point in time. There are unanswered questions regarding his passport records and what passport he traveled to Pakistan under. His fictionalized autobiography claims that he went to visit his mother in Indonesia before continuing on to Pakistan, but documentation tells us that his mother wasn't in Indonesia at that time the trip was supposed to have been taken. Is this another instance of Obama compressing events to make for a better story or was he traveling to Indonesia to renew an Indonesian Passport to present as evidence of his being a foreign student eligible for scholarships reserved for that class of students? Even the layered PDF file has issues more consistent with tampering than optimization. Optimization of a scan wouldn't have produced one single 8 bit layer and multiple one bit layers - it would have produced the opposite - a single one bit layer and multiple 8 bit layers.
Then there is the whole "natural born citizen" debate about whether or not the child of an alien and a citizen is a natural born citizen or simply a US national. Citizen perhaps, but also perhaps not a natural born one. Would dual citizens qualify as natural born under the definition of the term as understood by the framers who wrote the constitutional requirement? That would be an interesting debate to have with someone capable of saying something other than a regurgitation of what they hear in the echo chamber, which eliminates you from consideration.
Obama may very well have been born in Hawaii, as so many believe to be the case, I simply confess that I am unsure of that. That is a far cry from my bearing false witness, or lying, about him being born in Kenya. I do say that Obama is the original "birther" because he let himself be represented as being born in Kenya for nearly 2 decades before he had what he says is an error corrected, but even that is a long way from the allegation of bearing false witness that Obama was born in Kenya. All I have said is that I remain unsure of where he was born - which, by the way, happens to be a true statement - I don't know what to believe about where he was born, none of the evidence is compelling one way or the other for me. All I have are questions, which access to more documentation might be able to answer, which isn't going to be happening anytime soon as the person who promised the most transparent administration in the history of the union evidently doesn't feel like that includes transparency about himself and what he has done.

Of course Obama was not a published author at that time, and the book project he was considering never came to fruition. Further, if you actually consider the facts as the editor stated them, she clearly and unequivocally stated that Obama did not provide any material that he was born in Kenya and did provide material that did indicate that he was born in Hawaii. That you choose to ignore the facts and spin up this fabricated story based on a single typo that occurred 20 years ago and in view of the mountains of documentary evidence that detail his birth in Hawaii indicate that you have totally become a nut case.
