Unfortunately reading isn't popular with the majority of Americans and reading comprehension is hovering around the 4th to 6th grade level. TV is the medium that the masses believe in and it's where they get their news and information. "It can't be wrong, I saw it on TV!"

Nope, that is only true for the Fox News viewers.
It has been repeatedly shown that those who watch Fox News are actually less informed than those who don't watch any news programs.
