I thought Rubio or Christie would have pulled quite few independent votes and appealed to many democrats that still had hope that Mitt would revert to a moderate if elected.. If Mitt was actually a candidate I could vote for I think he should have chosen Huntsman for his foreign policy experience, but both being mormons would probably be problematic. I would have liked to see Huntsman as the nominee.

Huntsman would've gotten my vote.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
According to Wiki, it looks like Paul Ryan does have private sector experience and foreign affairs experience as well...
He worked as a salesman for Oscar Mayer, driving the Wienermobile once. During his junior year at Miami University, Ryan worked as an intern opening mail for the foreign affairs advisor assigned to Senator Bob Kasten of Wisconsin.
