It's the economy stupid. People care more about having jobs to go to than the apoligized for comments of a Missouri senatorial candidate. More deflection.

Something the Dog Said wrote: So the GOP now have discovered a new biological principle, unknown to medical science. According to Missouri Republican Senator candidate Akin:
""If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down," Akin continued. He did not provide an explanation for what constituted "legitimate rape."

That is wrong on so many levels. First, what is a "legitimate" rape? As opposed to "Illegitimate" rape. That is as bad as the Republicans earlier attempt to redefine "forcible" rape. No means no.

Second, what science is there that "the female body" will shut "that whole thing down"? Really? This principle is apparently only known to male white conserative Republicans.

Why don't you try explaining how you seem to know that it was the entire GOP that did this. You just amaze me more and more with your in depth knowledge of knowing all this. One person made a stupid comment and you assume right off that it is the entire GOP. NOT. It was one idiot, not the GOP.

Great point CPO. 90% of the GOP has come down hard on Akin asking him to drop out and the lefties here are still claiming it is the Republican platform.

Or just practice democracy and let the voters decide if Akins speaks for them.
