wondering why the heck I'm still in the GOP was created by bailey bud
Gabriela Mercer's friends say she simply mis-spoke.
I'm here to say that if I was in her district, I'd simply mis-vote.
I've defended the GOP enough --- I joined the GOP in the 80s because I believed in
individual freedom, liberty, and competitive markets (I still do).
The more I hear idiots like this babble -- the more convinced I am that I should be giving my vote to Ron Paul.

Really - that's the best you can do????
I've stood with the GOP every single year since 1984. With the exception of 2008, I've simply voted a straight party ticket.
I started wondering about Republican values in 2008 ---- and when I object to this INCOMPOTENT LOON --- all you can say is good riddins?

I've read your posts here and over at Pinecam for a few years now... you're a fence sitter... with no real core values... what ever suits your situation at the moment.
Libertarian... the party for and will always be of the future. There... that says it all.

Yes, idiots need to be culled from the process...and they will be. She won't win. Those of us who believe the Republican party best represents us have to change it from inside, since the old guard wants to keep power. That change does bring out some bad apples, but they too either get removed or never given a true chance.
What you believe in is being brought forward again....we gotta keep cleaning house though (and watch the doors, so bad apples don't sneak in!)
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

I had an Obama campaign volunteer say the same thing to me 2 days ago when they called and asked me who I'd be voting for and I replied Jill Stein. He then begged me to watch the DNC and see if Obama said anything that I disagreed with and wouldn't change my vote (to make sure they don't lose, he pretty much said). I told him I had to vote by my principles and a huge part of the problem in this country is thinking that "Well, the person I really want to win doesn't have a shot in hell so I guess I'll hold my nose and vote for the lesser of two evils just to make sure the 'other' party doesn't take power." Sorry, but I'm done thinking that way - we've been waiting too long for "change to happen within the parties", both big ones are corrupt thru and thru and they merely drag the newly elected people down into the corrupt gutter with them. We need independent parties to get in, in significant percentages, and effect real change. I'd vote Libertarian or Tea Party, but neither of those groups get the seriousness of climate change and the majority of supporters of both want to move us backwards and make our future worse in dealing with that issue so until they get a clue, it's Green for me.RenegadeCJ wrote:

the Greens lost all credibility with me for nominating Ralph Nader in the past as well as David Cobb and Cynthia Mckinney. None of those candidates placed an emphasis on the environment, but used the Greens to promote their own agendas. I have not researched Jill Stein, but based on past history, the Green party is less about environmental activism and more about promoting other agendas.
