When the Republicans talk morality and the Democrats talk Justice that is what is the problem. Neither party should be as involved in social issues as they are.

Take away Morality and Justice and let people do as they wish these are two piece of politics that divide and have nothing to do with the now. USA is about Freedom. Let's bring that back. People should be allowed to do what they believe.

But they are....

I don't WANT Republican "morality" and "religion" in my politics.

You don't like birth-control? Don't use it.
You don't like gay marriage? Don't marry a gay person.
You don't like abortion? Don't have one...

etc........

But stop trying to use religion to prevent other people's freedom of choice.

Okay and what do you have to say about the democratic brand of justice? You are only talking part of the problem. I don't want justice brought into the present. Past is past.

And I am not religious in any way. Just FYI.

Curious what you mean by the democratic brand of justice, what exactly are you referring to?

Republicans talk morality. Democrats to me their rhetoric is about justice for the have nots and the past injustice of money, race, etc. Our young people don't even get why our generation is doing this when it comes to race they are pretty tolerant.

I believe in integrity, morality is different and in the eye of the beholder. Example would be gay marriage. I am not against it or really even for it. I think anyone that wants to get married should be allowed. Who am I to tell same sex they don't have that right.

Same with justice. I told you my son has been treated unfairly for being a white male. That is past stuff, what did a 23 year do in this day and age to have to pay more for college than all his friend of other races? But he accepted and went to college. To me dems are about justice for those they deem as being treated unfairly.

You keep assuming that "justice" means that we are in favor of "equal outcomes", "redistribution of wealth"... That's a great right-wing talking point to scare the population....But that's not what it's about. It's about EQUAL OPPORTUNITY... And Social Darwinism is NOT about equal opportunity; it's about the rich playing by a different set of rules, and applying AynRandian principles to the rest...and to hell with 'em....

I'm watching the DNC, and I am angry. They voted on 2 amendments to the platform....to include God, and state Jerusalem is the capitol of Israel. It was a voice vote, and needed 2/3 ayes to pass. 3 times they had the delegates vote on it and every time the vote sounded equal, yet the chair passed the amendments by saying it sounded like the ayes had 2/3. Sorry, that doesn't cut it for me, get a roll call and do it right when the voice vote is inconclusive. It makes me angry because they are caving in to outside pressure.

Seems to me that someone is afraid that Democratic "principles and values" may not be patalatble for enough Americans to swallow. Votes rule so just lay down.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Exactly.....I don't like seeing the Democrats start acting like Republicans, we're better than that.
