Buffet spreading the wealth

OMAHA, Neb. –Â Warren Buffett is celebrating his 82nd birthday by giving each of his three children a big present: about $600 million worth of his company’s stock for their charitable foundations.

That is all.

This is an outrage.

Why should his kids get all that money- it belongs to the government. He didn't make that happen- Obama needs the money to pay down the 5 trillion dollars he borrowed.

Warren should have given that money to Obama- since he's been running his big fat mouth about rich people not paying their share.

Why didn't he pay his fair share- instead of giving it to his kids?

We are. Had the government appropriated that money from him in taxes he wouldn't have had it to give to charity and he would have been funding the charitable operations chosen by the government instead of the ones chosen by himself. Who is in a better position to decide who should receive his charity, Buffet himself or the federal government?

By throwing the money into their favorite charity, did he just funnel a bunch of money to his kids and avoid paying gift taxes on it? Is this just a big tax dodge for the richest few?
