Isn't it interesting that the verbiage on the "summary" page that was put out only said that the amounts were based on the "numbers as prepared"...It didn't say those were the numbers that were filed...Or whether or not any of those numbers changed because of amended returns being filed... I guess we'd have to actually SEE the returns to see what's going on. "Trust me" doesn't get it anymore...Particularly with Gov. Etch-a-Sketch.
And by the way, where ARE those tax-returns?
I'd LOVE to see the ones for 2008 & 2009... You know, the years that the IRS busted Switzerland's UBS-Bank's chops, and gave all of the US taxpayers hiding their money there a chance to come clean under an amnesty for back taxes, and a flat 20% penalty. Isn't it interesting that those years are the ones he REALLY doesn't want to show?
Reid said Romney hadn't paid taxes for 10 years. That implies the last 10 years, but is not specific.
Well, we have his 2010 and 2011 returns, so we know Romney paid taxes both those years. So what years was Reid talking about?
We also have a notarized letter from the general counsel of Romney's tax preparer, PricewaterhouseCoopers. They say Romney had an average effective tax of 20.2% for the last twenty years (1990-2009). That's about the same as Obama's effective rate for 2011. And they should know better than Harry Reid.
Could Romney of amended his return without his tax preparer knowing it? Very doubtful (these returns are hundreds of pages long), and how could he of amended from paying 20% of his income to zero? You've got to be kidding me. That's not an amendment, that's reinventing the wheel.
It also shows he averaged over 13% in charitable deductions for 20 years. In comparison, the Obama's averaged about 1% in 2001-2003 even though their AGI was over $200,000.
Did he say "the LAST 10 years"? I think the quote was "for 10 years"... Perhaps you have a link that shows a different quote? (If you do, it's probably a Rove-special, where they cut together some words out-of-context to make it sound like he said something he didn't say...That's your specialty.)

Since we can't see RMoney's tax-returns to prove it, it's conjecture on your part.
Well, I'm certain that over the course of his entire life that there were ten years in total in which he paid no taxes. I don't know many toddlers who pay taxes, do you? Is that the out you're looking for to save Reid from his own stupidity? That for the first 10 years of his life Mitt Romney paid nothing in taxes?
You didn't answer the question... Did he say "the LAST 10 years"? I think the quote was "for 10 years"..
I don't know that he lied, any more than you do.
Since we can't see RMoney's tax-returns to prove it, it's conjecture on your part. Harry Reid owes RMoney NOTHING... When he shows his tax-returns, THEN he might have an apology coming. Until he does, ............ :Snooze

I'm not interested in your spin & conjecture.
If you read what I posted, I said it was "not specific" as to which years.
So let's examine the "logic" of your reasoning. Somehow Romney amended his return from owing millions of dollars in taxes to zero. Do you really think you can do that even once without the IRS (or his tax preparer) noticing? And for Reid to be right, Romney would of had to do it ten times.
You'd have more credibility if you suggested aliens did it. And Reid has zero credibility on this. Four Pinocchios for Harry even before Romney's letter from his tax preparer...
