I hate to break this news to Archer- but her husband is still a registered "R" for a reason, if he hasn't voted for a republican since daddy bush- he probably would have changed to an "I"
some years ago.
Secretly- your husband will vote for Romney.
He's not gonna tell ya- cause he don't wanna start a war in his own house. I know a few couples like this. The husband is a conservative - and the wife is a bleeding heart. The guy will admit who he really voted for to his trusted friends, but will keep the white lie to himself while talking to the wife.
At least he is cancelling out the damage you would do by voting for Obama! Give him a big thanks for us...
Just sayin'.
rofllol I can totally imagine this scenario happening around the country for many couples.
I saw a Barney Miller where a husband imprisoned his wife for election day so their votes wouldn't cancel each other out.
And remember, to reduce costs, Republicans vote on Tuesday this year, Dems vote on Wednesday.

Wow, sounds like you are what twinsie calls a pussy whipped male, if you think you would have to lie to a significant other to keep the peace in the relationship. Sad to hear you don't have the confidence in what you believe to tell even those closest to you the truth. Perhaps that's why you bombard us here with your extreme opinions.
I'm glad the man I married is a better man than that......he has never been afraid to deal with reality and differences in our opinions.....I like a man who treats a woman as an equal and knows that love doesn't depend on keeping secrets from each other.
And remember, all of this bad news and attention being paid to Money-Boo-Boo's tax returns, and his offshore accounts--all over again--is happening just as mail-in ballots are coming out in about three of the battleground states...And Colorado's will be coming out soon. I'm sure Mittens would rather be talking about ANYTHING else other than his foreign policy embarrassments, and offshore bank accounts, and the "47% remarks"... But that's his problem...
Once again, more time spent whining about Romney and how he handles his money than Obama and how he is wasting our money.
And coming this month, QE3, Bernanke & Obama's scheme to make your dollars worth even less!!! But lets dwell on some ancient tax returns instead of question a program that didn't work when it was QE1 or QE2, except to lower the value of American greenbacks.

well - it's the candidate's money. Have at it! Spend it however you like!
These days - with media viewership spread really thin ---- it's really hard to know where/how to spend money for a campaign - so they're pouring funds in the one place they know people exist --- on the phone.
That said, I don't understand how the phone calls are supposed to change my mind.

If your mind is already made up, they won't. If somebody is on the rolls as ndecided, there's always a chance...
And in point of fact, I have had some conversations with some Undecideds who were waffling because of some of the phony propaganda they had seen on TV, or read in the junk they get in the mail. When it was explained to them how it REALLY works, and the impact it would have on them, we've actually won over a bunch of Undecideds.
If it doesn't apply to you, then don't worry about it.
We have found in our canvassing that with a lot of the Latinos tv is their most viewed source for information. Phone often ignored. Greatest impact though seems to be someone actually showing up and talking with them individually or in small groups.
