Enough with the phone calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mit is losing the battle of the phone calls both robo calls and the republicans calling.

We hate the calls and have no intention of making decisions based on these calls.

Per week on average we have gotten 7 republican calls and 4 democrat and those are the ones that leave messages we do not even answer the phone half the time(he who calls most loses in my book).

I can’t wait until I this is over all the calls are a pain in the A$$.

Not to call BS or anything, but out of those that have actually left a message I count a big whopping 2. Both were of a Democratic nature. Of the numbers that didn't leave messages, I just now stuffed into the computer from my CID from today's date, and going back to Aug. 23, 2012 where I have no prior record, I count 3 more Democratic party affiliates and only 1 Republican affiliate for a total of 6 political calls.

My question based on this analysis would be: "Why do they seem to like your phone number much more than mine?"

Could be that I am an Independant so there is more to fight for.

I hope some day they outlaw the phone calls who I decide to vote for is none of their business and it is worse when they call at dinner time.

I'm also independant. There has to be something more to it, either a glitch in the auto-dialer, (either calling your number more or mine less) or something you might have possibly signed up for recently (atleast a year or so anyway).

Have heard from others that the calls are very annoying so the possibility of the glitch (in my favor by the sounds of it) could be probable. If that were the case, I don't want to change a thing to inspire them to call more. Like you mentioned, that is not the way to earn my vote.

I have donated and signed up so I get tons of calls. Have learne.d to just screen our calls. Should just kill the landline.

My husband is a registered Republican and we get at least one call a day from the Republicans, sometimes two. I am a registered democrat and I get at most one call a week. I think there is a desperation index in there somewhere. He plans to change his affiliation to independent, he hasn't voted for a Republican for president since Bush's first term.

The call-lists are generated from the voter-registration rolls, furnished by the Colorado Secretary of State's office. They are public information.

Most of the campaigns are pulling call-lists consisting of their own party registrants, i.e., "R" or "D", plus all of the "U"s (Undecideds). There is no "I"ndependent designation in the voter-registration rolls. They can further keyin on people who are "NH" (Not-Home, i.e., No Answer), age groups, etc. People who have responded, who have been contacted, who have indicated that they don't want to be called again, are supposed to be removed from the call-lists automatically. Given the hundreds of thousands of people in the voter-registration rolls, it's not a perfect science. But both sides make an effort not to call people again who have already been contacted, or indicated "Do Not Call."

You may continue your rant now...

Curious, does your husband discuss politics with you?

IN NOVEMBER 2014, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE! DONT BLOW IT!

“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex. Only whit man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.” Indian Chief Two Eagles

Yes he does....we enjoy discussing politics and current events....like many Republicans and Democrats we find we have more areas of agreement than we do disagreement. He is an old school Republican, a conservative who believes that political parties should not be involved in dictating social morals and that religion should not be part of the political conversation. He is not yet willing to give up his republican registration, but does feel that the current crop of GOP candidates do not represent him. He swears he is voting a straight Democratic ticket this time, but that is probably just his anger at the top of the ticket. He was a Huntsman fan and had convinced me to give the man a chance, but the party never gave Huntsman a chance. We will both be voting Obama again.
