Now that's a reliable source, "I heard".
My neighbor's cousin's uncle, UPS guy heard it differently. Or maybe saw it on a blog someplace. rofllol

I'm curious and wonder if you'd be willing to expand upon what you mean by "the tone of this site is set at the top"? I don't attack people, I don't call names or behave disrespectfully when I disagree, and I don't do drive-by snarky crap (unless I'm in a rare joking mood).Becky wrote: This...like any job, requires hard work and with all due respect.....the tone of this site or Pinecam or a school or a government or even a family is set at the top.
We all can strive to be better each day.
Edited to add......tonight I saw some good leadership.

Wouldn't have been much simpler just to have put in one of the links in you first post instead of the "I heard" and then having to come back and fill an entire screen with google links?archer wrote:

Shucks, I thought it would be an easy one for you to google, apparently not. I will do the work for you

There are multiple google pages of this.
It's all good, I accept your apology....I don't post something I "heard" unless I have sources to back it up. It's just hard to quote those sources on a cell.....my apologies for thinking you would at least check on google before posting a response.

I do know that Obama supporters are mean and nasty, and will do anything (in real life, not just here on the board) to help their person win.
Romney yard signs are being torn up all over town....

Science Chic wrote: You know, I recall that when this site was started that the major complaint was that it was dominated by conservatives who bullied liberals and if you don't believe me, start back at page 1. Frankly, it's all a matter of perception and neither group "dominates" this board. Politics is a passionate subject, some people are forceful with their opinions, and they will clash with the people who are sensitive about their beliefs when it comes to politics. Especially during an election year when the stakes are higher and emotions get ramped up. If you don't like what a certain poster says, put them on Ignore - that way YOU get to choose what you see and what you don't, rather than the moderators deciding for you what you can handle and what you can't. It's why this site was built. You know what I see? People who can't help themselves and want the drama, want to see what that person they hate says, so they can snipe back at them. It's human nature. But don't blame this board - we provide the place, it's up to you to be responsible for what you post and where you post - you yourself have control over that.
For those who say that 285Bound is like a dirty strip club, or that this place is turning into a cess pool of hate, or whatever else they come up with - the people I see making those judgements are the ones who almost ONLY post in the Courthouse (maybe the Campfire, or the Ring once in a while, but HARDLY anywhere else). I look at the titles of the threads on the first page of the CH and I see that that there are very few that aren't about Romney or Obama, and some of those got good responses, but some got nothing - Romney and Obama are what people want to talk about right now. But Guess What? there are 26 other forums in which to post here (and while the Courthouse has just over 50% of the total posts, more people use the Campfire), not including 19 of your local businesses who support the survival of this board and whose businesses we bust our ass to promote. How about posting a nice review once in a while if you've patronized a local business? Throwing up some cool pictures while you were outside enjoying the mountains this past weekend? Jump in on the cold weather comfort food recipes thread or let us know how you think the Broncos will do on Sunday. This board is what you make it, and if you want it "less nasty", get out and explore more of the site and post elsewhere in it. Because IT's NOT ALL COURTHOUSE and it personally pisses me off when I see people judge it based ONLY on that. And yes, I have a vested interest so I'm gonna get pissy about it so deal. tongue:
That being said, I am going to repeat myself yet again, to no avail I'm sure. I too am tired of the personal insults, name-calling, derogatory remarks, etc. in the CH. The Courthouse is for debate and discussion - attack the policies and the claims, not the poster. If you want to call someone names, great, fine, go to the Ring. People come and go all the time, and more are going to hide during a election year cycle, but I personally would appreciate not seeing any more posters disappear as I like as much diversity as possible - makes things more fun with more viewpoints and is a strength evolutionarily.
