One of Mitt's latest lies relates to the size of the American navy. He claims that the size of the navy is equivalent to the navy in 1916. Even ignoring the absurdity of comparing rowboats to aircraft carriers, his statement is a lie. The current size of the navy is 285 ships. During the Bush administration, the navy was down to 278 in 2007 during the Bush administration. The current administration has actually increased the size of the navy. Liar, liar.
Additonally, he claims he would spend billions of dollars to increase the navy by 15 ships per year (just because he wants to, without any justification from the Department of Defense for the need of those ships). This, without cutting any military spending, without increasing taxes, without adding to the deficit. But don't ask him for details, he does not have any.

During the debate, Mitt claimed that claimed that “half” of the green firms Obama invested “have gone out of business” and noted that “a number of them happened to be owned by people who were contributors to your campaigns.”
The truth? Less than one percent of the renewable energy firms that received assistance from the DOE have declared bankruptcy. Liar, liar.
Romney also singled out Tesla Motors, which designs and manufactures electric vehicles, and received a $465 million loan from the Department of Energy, claiming they were a loser.
Except that founder Elon Musk says it will accelerate its payment of the principal in the spring — and the Department of Energy isn’t complaining it’s not getting its money back.

What Dog's slanted sources neglect to tell you is many of the ships in the current navy are set for decommisioning including a couple carriers that will only be replaced by one carrier the Ford in 2015 or 2016. Personally I disagree with Mitt's plan but you don't need to call him a liar. Due to the new nature of war I would like to see smaller carriers with drones and some combat aircraft. I don't think we have real competition from China Russia or any other nation.

American jobs moved overseas? Maybe the reality is that the American companies were losing money and would have gone bankrupt anyway? Nope lets use the OWS talking point that American corporations are sending jobs overseas. Actual examples: Nike and Apple contract with foreign factories to find the lowest cost suppliers which benefits American consumers and investors including pension plans. And if Obama is so tough on China why hasn't he created a trade war with Peking? The only example I have found is a tariff on tires.

Just because it is a different perspective than yours doesn't make it a lie. Under Obama's sequestration you would see a much smaller navy than Mitt wants.
