According to KOA & Sec'y of State Gessler. Surprising to me. I really thought once the allure of Obama wore off and so many mainstream Christians not wanting to vote for a Mormon that people wouldn't bother to vote or register.
Maybe all the excitement of being a battleground state plus all the visits and ads are actually inspiring traditional non-voters to register for this election.
Or maybe the stoners finally have a reason to register?
Has anyone here noticed more interest in the election among their non-political friends? I am actually seeing less bumper stickers and yard signs than in 2008. (Maybe people are more scared of retribution? One reason I don't have either a bumper sticker or a yard sign.)

no way would I put an Obama sticker on my car in Arizona, not only is the state rabidly conservative, but even the people walking their dogs in the park are carrying guns. And no, I am not anti-gun, we own several and know how to use them. But I don't trust irrational people with guns, and politics has made everyone irrational lately.
Like the story of the Pennsylvania teacher who verbally attacked one of her students for wearing a Romney/Ryan shirt?
I think it was a bad idea for the student to wear a poltical shirt to school but the teacher's response was out of line. She should have just told the child to go to the lavatory and turn the shirt inside out.

Why can't a student wear a shirt with a politician's name on it? Of course, if the school had a dress code or uniforms (which I support), she wouldn't have worn it.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
What is great is there are greater number of individuals registering as Democrats than Republicans. According to Fox31,
Although more than 45,000 new registration and registration changes are still pending due to a backlog, Democrats have more than cut the GOP’s overall registration advantage in half, including with those voters who are both active and on the Pemanent Mail-In Voter list.
In early September, Republicans had a 72,585 voter edge in that category — or 4.6 percent.
One month later, that edge has shrunk to 30,347 voters — 1.6 percent overall.

Many schools have a policy against the wearing any shirt that advertises a product...or a music group, or most anything that can cause a disruption. I believe political shirts would fall into that catagory.

If they have an official policy, then fine. If not, it is another topic. I also heard that the teacher who berated the student informed her that she can't wear that shirt in a "democratic school". At least she is honest!!

Which was the point...wearing a Romney shirt in a mostly democratic school would be a distraction and possibly cause for disruption among the students.....same if it was an Obama shirt in an evangelical school...the same applies to gang t-shirts or shirts that have profanity.....I don't have a problem with asking that the shirt be changed, or turned inside out, but no, the teacher should not have berated the student for wearing it
