Be happy - nothing changed.

I'm not sure why I'm hearing all the complaints, anger and outright "pissed-off" coming from the right? And at the same time, why all the cheers and congratulations passing through the left-o-sphere? Almost nothing has changed? Obama is still President (good job Mr. President), the House still has a Republican majority, the Democrats still tip the scales in the Senate, Mike Rosen was on the air this morning, Rush will be on soon, Chris Matthews still has a job, Rachel Maddow is still looking for a date, I believe the Broncos are still playing this week... basically nothing has changed.

So what happens next? The Republicans will have to figure out how to turn this around (well... what do you expect, that's what they do) and the Democrats will have to consider how to keep the momentum on their side. Lady Jazzer will be no more considerate to those she perceives to be her opponents and I will be as snarky as usual. Most Republicans will continue to support the right and most Democrats will continue to support the left. Nothing has changed.

The policies and legislation's that President Obama has pursued and implemented will now have the time to prove themselves out, or their possible coming failure will bear out. You will continue to work, and I will continue to do what I do. Nothing has changed.

Chill out. If you are a Republican, then you have your work cut out for you. If you are a Democrat you have the increased responsibility of proving that your vision is correct for the country.

And we in Colorado have the advantage of getting along better than most states. We got pot.

SSDD.
My friends at my party last night were all doom and gloom, but I just tried to explain to them nothing has really changed. Checks and balances.

I have to say I feel really weird. The last two months have been a whirlwind of hope, constant phone calls, watching news about the election and it all just stopped on a dime.

And not one thing changed from 6 months ago. I feel like I have been picked up and dropped back in time. Life is back to the way it was in a day. Very weird feeling. I am serious about the phone call problem they HAVE to fix this for next time. I was getting 10-15 calls a day. That is wrong and is an invasion of my privacy.

You know it's a weird day when Liberals GOP Twin sounds rational and normal around here! :like:

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

I would say one thing HAS changed and it's certainly something to be happy about. I won't have to watch more more goofy political commercial for at least six weeks.

It does seem a little like the day after Christmas, hundreds of millions of votes counted, billions of dollars spent, months of people's life spent on campaigns and nothing much has changed.

The frog in the pot of cool water kept saying that too, just before they turned the heat on slowly.

Don't get too giddy. I've also notice that certain users haven't budge an inch off the smart-ass pedestal.
