I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Thanks... I see the paragraph about:

"The move comes as experts warn that shortages in the city could persist for another “couple of weeks” as crews scramble to repair damage at several refineries knocked out of commission during Superstorm Sandy.

Eight of the 57 terminals in Sandy's path were still shuttered Thursday and the Department of Energy noted in a weekly report that refinery productivity in the region had dropped from 81% to 58.5%."

Gee, Toad... YOu mean like THOSE refineries?

If only Obama had actually done something about global warming instead of supporting failed alternative energy companies and keeping the economy stagnant to lower greenhouse gases. Sandy wouldn't have happened.

My understanding of the gas rationing in NY has a lot to do with what hurricane Sandy did and nothing with anything else. They are having a lot of problems getting power restored, thus only a very gas stations open, this has nothing to do with Obama.

You're right... But some never let an opportunity to do an outrage-of-the-day go unused....

Chief, I have no quarrel with you and the folks who are suffering from the after effects of Sandy and yet another storm a week later.

Where is FEMA? Why aren't the National Guard and Active Duty personnel assisting the locals? Bush took it in the posterior over the same question over his administration's response to Katrina. Somehow Barry gets a pass?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Otis, National Guard and Active Duty are assisting those that they can, Got an MEU in the area, got some Amphips in the area. Ships are being used for helo platforms for the reponders. So they are doing the best they can with what they got. They are suppose to be helping with rescues/shelters etc from what I understand.

I do not care much for Obama, my personal thing. But this was done by Bloomberg. Our guys are even trying to help clear roads etc so power can be restored. Now FEMA, that is a whole different ballgame. I am not a big fan of FEMA. I know there are some places that still have not gotten any help. See it on the news all the time. Big question is if the news folks can get there why can't FEMA

Glad to hear Navy personnel are on station and performing duties as assigned, I would never expect anything less from the US Navy or any other branch of the Department of Defense. I am very frustrated with the current administration's failure to address the problems; Bush got slammed for his administration's response to Katrina while Barry seems to get a free pass while FEMA gets away with farting around with helping the victims of Sandy and the subsequent storm.

When will citizens wake up? How big disaster have to be?
