About that mandate...

What matters is that, had Romney won by that margin, Republicans would surely have called it a mandate.

The electoral college should not be used to determine the will of the people in terms of mandating change, it is meant to provide a means to balance the power held by each state. A mandate comes from the people, not a representative board.

The people did not give Obama a mandate. They only gave him a second chance. and it appears that many were hesitant to do even that.

My broad brush is exactly where it needs to be. You may not consider yourself "we the people" but most of the rest of the right-wingers do.

Another win: Democratic Rep. Ron Barber has prevailed over Republican Martha McSally for a full term replacing Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona's 2nd District.

Barber was the handpicked successor of Giffords, where both were wounded in a Tucson mass shooting in January 2011.

That ol' teabagger population jus' keeps dwindling.... (Gee, the next thing you know, Grover Norquist will be a has-been.... Oh, wait.........................)
