What matters is that, had Romney won by that margin, Republicans would surely have called it a mandate.

The electoral college should not be used to determine the will of the people in terms of mandating change, it is meant to provide a means to balance the power held by each state. A mandate comes from the people, not a representative board.

The people did not give Obama a mandate. They only gave him a second chance. and it appears that many were hesitant to do even that.

Stick your broad brush back in your can. I don't consider anything less that 10% of the popular vote a 'mandate'.

My broad brush is exactly where it needs to be. You may not consider yourself "we the people" but most of the rest of the right-wingers do.

Another win: Democratic Rep. Ron Barber has prevailed over Republican Martha McSally for a full term replacing Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona's 2nd District.

Barber was the handpicked successor of Giffords, where both were wounded in a Tucson mass shooting in January 2011.

If you dislike how you interpret the way they think, why are you trying so hard to be just like them?

Are you claiming a mandate for Obama?

What matters is that, had Romney won by that margin, Republicans would surely have called it a mandate.

If you are, it appears that you are claiming that mandate because the 'republicans' would have done it for their candidate.

Therefore, you are acting in the exact same manner as those you are trying to insult.
