Sorry SC if I have been annoying people....I only wanted to annoy the conservatives
I will let up, I was just fed up here with so many claims being made in posts without any source being given, sometimes whole parts of an email or article posted with no link to the original or at least a statement about where it came from. If we were having a conversation it would be natural, if someone made a claim like the ones that are made here daily, to say hey, where did you hear that, or where did you find that information, and no one would be upset. But do that on a message board and it sounds different...apparently no one wants to let on where they learned about what they posted or own up to those posts that are simply their own opinion.
Whatever, carry on. I will stop trying to find out what is truth and what is not, although I thought that was one of the purposes of a political discussion.
One of my friends when we are having a discussion he will actually pull out his smart phone and look up the article he is referencing. We keep telling him, "No, really, we trust you."

LOL It's all good and you're fine archer. I don't know if anyone's actually annoyed, that was just my interpretation of what I was seeing written and I readily admit I could very well be wrong. As you say, it's so much harder to convey meaning on the screen with words than in an actual face-to-face conversation and it seems a lot easier to get feathers ruffled because of that. Getting to the truth is always the end goal in my mind as well - I appreciate everyone who posts their viewpoints here, it's made me a lot more open-minded and informed, for which I am grateful.
Fred, sounds like your friend has a fun new toy he loves an excuse to play with! lol I saw a meme once that said something to the effect of "Smart phones...ruining good bar arguments everywhere!" rofllol
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
I am horrible with my Kindle Fire. Everytime I am watching something on TV, I have to look up the real story behind the fictionalization, or check IMDB to find out where I have seen this actress before, verify how old this man is, etc.

It certainly does not annoy me. I just appreciate opportunities to mock liberals.
