MARSEILLES, France (Reuters) - A French psychiatrist whose patient hacked an elderly man to death was found guilty of manslaughter on Tuesday in a groundbreaking case that could affect the way patients are treated.
A court in Marseilles said Daniele Canarelli, 58, had committed a "grave error" by failing to recognize the public danger posed by Joel Gaillard, her patient of four years.

She should have thought of that, if you can't secure them at home. Secure them someplace else or at at the very least disassemble the weapons and secure necessary parts someplace else. I understand she utilized a local gun range, I'm pretty sure she could have arranged to store her weapons there.FredHayek wrote:

She might have had them locked up, but the kid seems to be pretty bright and if she is like me, has the safe code or key somewhere else that a resident would be able to get to if they had plenty of time to look.
