Worst Case Senario

No that's just MY opinion.... some of you may feel this is the Best case senario.. Here it is:

Lets say Obama proposes a law that bans all guns, .22 caliber and up UNLESS it's just a single round weapon... any illegal weapon found in your possesion gets confiscated and you pay a fine (no jail, we wouldn't have enough room). The Dems mostly vote yes and the Republicans vote present as to not be shamed, as much, by advocating gun violence (the Dem narrative) AND to prove once and for all that it won't work.

So what do ya think... what would happen ? Would most people turn in their weapons, even if they were given a voucher for a single shot or maybe equal cash? And what do you think would happen with gun violence nationwide?

No need to get snarky here, I'm just looking for your honest opinion and reasoning. Thanks

Have you ever been able to just answer a question, or must you always be a so dramatically distracting? I simply set up a realistic senario that I believe many people in this country would like. What's your opinion?

I think most weapons wouldn't be turned in. Most weapons aren't really registered. Ranges would be awful quiet. I think I only have two guns that are single shot and they are both muzzle loaders.

I agree... there would be lots of "my gun was stolen" police reports.

I could operate under that scenario assuming that the cops/troops would not be out patrolling house to house conducting no knock raids. Otherwise, I live a quiet life and while I enjoy shooting at a range I guess I'd have to settle for taking my Hawkins .54 and a couple of black powder pistols to the range to keep up on my marksmanship.

I find the idea of only being fined a bit unrealistic, those who won't conform with the laws of King Obama must be punished. How about a 9mm to the temple and sending a bill to Mommy and Daddy for the bullet instead? Prisons are for people that the Proletariat believe can be re-educated, anyone so brash as to own a gun capable of more than one consecutive shot must be "removed from society."

Did I say that it made sense? I'm just using the kind or "reasoning" used during this debate. Ask some of the people you know on the left if they woulld like this. No, it's not realistic, nor is it realistic to think the government can run trillion dollar deficits in perpetuity (and survive) yet that is what is happening.
