I personally have called LJ out when I thought she had gone too far on more than a few occasions.
People get more defensive when the party they align with lose elections. Dems were cranky when W won. Reps are cranky because Obama won. Rush Limbaugh would be more sedate if the Reps had won the last couple of elections, but I'm sure right leaning talk radio is happy as clams that the other side won so they have something to talk about and build an audience with.
