When asked why the Park County deputies had to disable the keg, Sherman surmised that the deputies were concerned that the kids would return and they “might have another tap.” (Later testimony by Sonnenberg revealed that the deputies had removed the tap when they first arrived on the scene.)

Sure, everyone gets an extra tap when they rent a beer keg :rofllol

Why wouldn't the deputies simply run the keg dry?

They should have put the keg on the stand. LOL

I would have loved to be on the jury for this, probably would get kicked out for laughing though. :)

That would be alcohol abuse. Or would require a discharge permit. tongue:

IMHO the real issue here is the use of guns by deputies with kids near.....what if a kid had been killed.......unfortunately as reported one deputy shot himself in the leg......what ??
Oh well at least they did not call a swat team.....

He didn't shoot himself in the leg -- it was a ricochet that got him.

They didn't need to call the swat team as they are all swat trained. Hope I NEVER have a need for the swat team!

They were doing their typical ParkCo cowboy law enforcement. What a shame that their behavior reflects on the capable officers in the county. Hopefully they don't get hired back.
