I have not been here much in a few weeks. I actually forgot about the militant do gooders willing to do anything to make themselves feel good.
What a bad speech about doing all kinds of things we cannot afford to do that likely will do nothing but make the world worse and give Americans less choices.
People really are addicted to government.
Then you should vote it out... Oh, wait... You tried that...And you lost....Substantially.
I did not loose, my dear, you did. The story is far from over.
You may have gotten the one into the presidency you wanted, it does not mean you will get what you want in the long run, or even the short run....unless it was to have his pic on the wall to worship, then you did get it.
Keep making your president your monarch and you will get exactly what you deserve....no voice.
Even if we got a president in there that respects the people more, as I would have wanted, I would not have really won. We loose as long as we concentrate power anywhere but ourselves.
But thanks for playing. Keep on worshiping your leaders, some of us simply don't need to...some of us are too busy giving away money to charity, literally. Keep on buying your votes LJ, at least you understand how the system works better than I. I have already given up on it.
Plus that speach was not an accurate representation of the state of the union to the congress. They barely talked about debt. That is the state of our union, so in debt and overobligated thus our union is more at risk than ever. Why did he not say that, wouldn't a great leader admit that we are at a low point and it has nothing to do with guns or preschools?
Oh, but we NEED federal preschool programs to fix America, like that will even help, let alone make people worse.
I mean really, of all the things we need to take care of that are just falling apart, we are going to focus on preschool, oh I get it, take the kids away earlier and get them into the Obama youth program and they will comply better later in life. Get them addicted to govt early and they will grow up to be good LJ's. Will they have a special class on ignoring data and bashing free choice and consequences? How could they not, this stuff does not come naturally, you need to train people to allow their lives to be run over and like it.
We won at the local, county, state and Federal level... And your party continues to play their Mickey-Mouse high-school games with everything... Cabinet appointments, manufactured fiscal crises, trying to sell that warmed-over Ryan/Randroid garbage...
Jus' keep doin' what yer doin'... We'll clean out more of the riff-raff in '14...

Yes, just simply horrible to ask to wait for a week or more to vote on Hagel because he isn't releasing financial documents.
So background checks are required if you are buy a firearm, but if we are putting you in charge of nuclear weapons and drones, a background check is unfair.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Sucking up too much FauxNews... The financials have already been provided...
This is about a 7-year-old grudge from that fossil, McCain, over Hagel calling Bush (AND McCain) on his lies and the unnecessary war(s)... First time in history that a minority has blocked a cabinet appointment with a filibuster... Ooooo, payback is going to be such a b*tch....
Then we have that new teabagger-from-Texas making outrageous, unfounded, speculations about so many things, even McCain had to jerk his leash and tell him he was over the line...
You know, I don't have any proof, and there aren't any facts, but I hear Ted Cruz picks up little boys in public restrooms in the park. We don't know but what it's TRUE!!! Jus' sayin'...
I mean, "Are you now, or have you ever been a pedophile, Mr. Cruz?" (It's so McCarthy-istic...)
LJ, I know all of your life force comes from this fake dichotomy you and others try to set up to get your own way. But for me parties happen on Saturday night, they are not political. So I am not sure what you are referring to when you say my party, are you looking for something to do tomorrow night?
Am I really bat shit crazy for not thinking that preschool is a high priority for our Federal govt. I thought we were in debt and more Americans than ever don't have faith that our country will survive, I admit that this started during the Bush era, but since we don't do anything that seems to make us more likely to survive, it seems a little crazy to be thinking 20+ years ahead thinking that we will solve this with preschool. Are we hoping to train all the 5 year olds of the world to pay our future debt so we can keep paying for all the programs you love? Sounds like slavery to me, more than the current 50% slavery system we use.
Party on you team obsessed party player. Again, after being away for weeks in the real world, no one talks or acts like this, kinda weird to step back in here into this fake world where the answer to our problems of a country that is falling apart is federal preschool and taking guns away. Again, just feel good measures so people like you can feel good, despite the endless cost of making you feel good today.
You will take the next big step to strapping the next generation in unthinkable ways not in 2014, you do it every day in your own way. Why all the hatred towards the next generation, they are just children, they will have to live in the bed you make for them, stop throwing in broken glass and calling it sheets.

The right...both those in office and those who vote Republican, are sounding a lot like the little kid who used to beat up the kids on the playground, and now, that no one is paying attention to him, is running around mouthing off with lies and sour grapes just to get noticed. Truth is Fred.....the left DID win, and maybe it's time for the losers to stop being so petulant and work on what they were hired to do, their job. But, instead they are continuing down the path that lost them the election.....the majority of the American people are not amused, and will continue to punish the GOP in the future for their bad behavior.

Yes.... You are... At least for the reasons you postulate. You need counseling.

Wow... I'll alert the Media... Imagine my surprise... And all you can do now is b*tch because the next guy you handed the keys to isn't undoing YOUR damage fast enough, with you clowns fighting him every step of the way. EVERYTHING the Right does is about political gain, and sandbagging the other party. It's obvious they are more interested in that than the good of the country. So, spare me your tirades.

Nobody is forcing you to come back, or stay... You should go hang out in Bob's Echo Chamber... You'll feel better. You can high-5 each other and congratulate each other on your dogma without any push-back....or facts... Righties seem to congregate in fact-free-zones.

So you really wanted the Dems to roll over and play dead after they lost the House and Senate in "W's" administration?
In nations with a parliamentary system, the Prime Minister rules over the country and the legislature with a majority party. Think the opposistion party gives up? Not normally. Why should the Republicans not fight tooth and nail to keep this country from going over the cliff?
Seen Obama's latest baseline budget plan for the next 10 years? He plans to add from 7-10 trillion dollars to our debt. Sure, you want to sign on to that? See why the GOP is still fighting the biggest spending POTUS in American history?
