I remember Bush/Cheney telling us how we would be "Greeted as Liberators", that the war would be "over in months!", that "the Iraqis would pay for the war from their own oil-proceeds"; that the reason that we went INTO THE WAR was because of "Saddam Hussein's WMD's"... And his "link to the 9/11 attacks"....
Funny, I thought Combat missions in Iraq did end.....troops did come home. Of course, if you think having troops somewhere means we are still at war.....then Korea never ended either.

Unfortunately, Korea is different. It is just a cease fire. However, LJ is right about the others.
The Kurds who have partial autotomy and the Shiites who have gone from an oppressed majority dying in the swamps near Basra under poison gas attack appreciate that we took Saddam out. Or would you prefer him still in power?
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
So, $6 TRILLION later, nearly 5,000 US Dead, 32,000 wounded, and roughly 132,000 Iraqi civilians dead, later... the GOTP finally figures out that they have created this albatross, and hung it around their own necks... And all you've got is: "A few Dems got suckered by lies and voted for it too..."
...and splitting-hairs about Korea being just a "cease-fire"...That's all you guys have left?
Too bad that 58% of the American people...(and now, the entire GOTeaBagger Party) realizes that they f**'d up...
Viet Nam and Iraq were "lost" because both were irregular wars fought with WWII trained Generals (USARMY)...read "The Insurgents".....available on Kindle......explains the process by which Peteras fixed Iraq and made a good start elsewhere. He literally rewrote the field manuals and after Bush fired Rumsfield and neutered Cheney it turned around.
Cheney lied......lied about the WMD issue (and much more)......Bush was too weak to stop the war and Congress was also culpulable (passed a resolution supporting the farce). 4500 young men (and a few ladies) died and 30,000 wounded....the osified US Army Generals were the root cause. The American people swallowed it all because they are scared s...less since 911......Sheep to the slaughter.
OK.....Korea is frisky.......next up !!! :woo hoo:
I wouldn't want to be the one to tell my uncle that fought in Korea that it wasn't a war. But technically it wasn't, thus the cease fire..... I wonder how long before we are back fighting there now that N Korea has torn up the cease fire.

Please...Just keep it up with the pathetic, lame, garbage excuses...That's all you have left...
Deflect, deflect, deflect.... Then a few personal attacks on the OP.... Nothing new here... Standard procedure for the knuckle-draggers....Move on....
I'm still waiting for evidence, solid proof that the Bush administration lied instead of just believing faulty intel. There is a big difference. I would say there's much more evidence that Hillary lied about not knowing our folks in Benghazi were asking for help and never got any.
Nobody here has the evidence of a lie, but you repeat it over and over like you do. Enlighten me with the evidence.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
