It's the first Senate budget in six-years that wasn't filibustered... Time to replace Mitch McConnell and find a person who can ALLOW things to get done.

You clearly don't understand a filibuster, like your woeful economic education. If the Senate budget proposed is so toxic you can't even find 60 senators to agree to even approve it going to the floor, it isn't a good compromise, is it? Meanwhile, Obama is late again with his proposed budget. Barack gets his NCAA brackets done on time, but actual work he is running late.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
It shouldn't require a 60-vote majority to decide who the vendor of the toilet-paper in the Senate washroom is... But if the GOTP wants to play that game, I guess we'll have to replace a few more Senators.... (I don't think this is going to be a problem...)
..And save your little cheap-shot basketball jokes for somebody who gives a sh*t....

Gee, I didn't realize that a FACT like the Senate having passed the Budget Control Act in 2011, was "right" or "left" source kind of thing. They either passed it or they didn't... (HINT: They did...) But of course, if you've got your head stuck in FauxNews and brietibart ( ) all the time, you wouldn't recognize a FACT if it bit you.
The Democrat-controlled Senate passed its first formal budget proposal in four years early Saturday after hours of non-stop voting that started Friday evening.
The non-binding plan for the 2014 budget calls for a trillion dollars in tax increases and passed 50 to 49. No Republicans voted for the bill, and four Democrats voted against it.
It now goes to the House, where it is expected to be shot down. Senators recently voted down a budget proposal passed by the Republican-controlled house.
The two budget proposals and a third one to be offered by the president will likely be used as a basis for future negotiations between the parties.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're finally making some progress on this issue, in that both houses have passed something recently and can now work to reconcile, but this process seems so much more painful than it should be.

That's true, but why is this one specifically mentioned as non-binding leaving the Senate? Just media terminology, or does it have to pass the Senate again? I haven't read the bill so that's why I was wondering.
