You can pass all the laws you want and all it does is make you feel good about doing something.
Tell this mans family how effective your laws are. Without enforcement they are just words on paper.

For example the death by guns rate? Two thirds of deaths are suicides. Unless you actually ban and confiscate guns, I don't see a significant reduction being possible.

You've really brought the Hispanics over to your side; Every week we heard of more bat-sh*t-crazy abortion laws and "fetal personhood" bills--That's a BIG winner with women; with the entire country getting behind marriage-equality, we can always count on the knuckle-draggers to remind us of the "one-man-and-[how many?]-women" model; Your little sequester game is impacting "hot lunches for seniors" and "Meals-on-wheels" programs; cutting HeadStart programs like crazy; and maybe you can go for a 37th attempt to "repeal ObamaCare"....And with 60+% of Coloradans SUPPORTING gun-control bills, the NRA/RMGO clowns are down on the floor flailing their legs and arms and threatening to hold their breath until they turn blue...

I forget where I saw it, but they showed in Chicago, the current US murder capital, gun convictions for breaking current laws are way below the national trend. Another example of passing new laws, but not enforcing the ones already on the books?

I could care less at this point... I got 5 out of 5 in Colorado...

I thought it was 5 out of 7? Lost on concealed carry on campus and suing manufacturers and distributers.

Er... it seems like the first deflection on this thread belongs to you... "It sure is... You guys did so well in November... Hmmmmm.... President; Senators; Colorado State House/State Senate; JeffCo County Commissioner; JeffCo for Obama... Yep... Works for me..."

We were talking about gun laws, not about the last election. Whoops. God the hypocrisy is so deep from LJ you need boots.

And if she is going to go there, Coffman re-elected despite her best efforts. And Gardener and the other Republican Colorado Congressman proved that Obama's coat tails were very short despite huge amounts of Dem funds sent to the batleground state.

Not to mention that although the Democrats may have won many of the seats, it wasn't by much. Even Obama had fewer votes, both popular and electoral, in his "triumphant" reelection bid. But the "progressives" are hoping to keep silent on that part of the discussion. Whether one wins by a hair or by a mile, it's a victory - at least a temporary one.
