Welllll, then we know if a derogatory term from 40 years ago was okay back then, then surely the whole Hispanic population today must surely not be offended now... I guess that's why Boehner and Priebus are falling all over themselves trying to apologize for this guy. Gee, I remember back in Texas in the early 60's the term "Nigger", was used a lot too. I guess they can use that too, since it was okay 40-50 years ago... You guys keep working on your "rebranding" exercise"--It's working so well...
You can't make this kind of moronic "apologetics" up... Doesn't your neck hurt from all that twisting around to try to justify the bigots?
Sure they are Fred, when it suits their purpose.
I would have been impressed if it didn't turn out to be just one more way to bash LJ and liberals in general.

Even when we take our own to the woodshed, we just can't get any respect.
:faint:

What a head shaker. You want some cheese to go with that whine? Who give a sh** at the end of the day? The bashing goes both ways. Besides that, Alaska don't need all the drama from Cali and the Lower 48 anyway. Stay the fu** out of Alaska should be your outrage against that Senator. That would be sweet too, cause Alaska doesn't need any more finger wagging hippies.
Nah, we can get plenty of cheese AND whine over on the thread about all of the gun-control legislation that's been signed into law, and a new one that is ABOUT to be signed into law.
Apparently, Alaska doesn't need anymore half-governors who are trying to engineer a comeback when they haven't got sense enough to realize that they're already politically dead.

Well, I'm glad you can get yerself plenty of large helpings of cheese and wine. I'm more of a steak and potatoes kind of guy.
I agree on that last. We don't need any politicos trying to pander to the same ideals as the other jack wagons in DC, especially Democrats. Hopefully this will keep transplants that want equality out of Alaska from now on, but I doubt it, and the rest of the legislature in Alaska just needs to stay out of the limelight.
Oh yea, before I forget, and it's not quite on topic. Alaska wants MagPul to set up shop there. Sweet. More biz, and a good one.
Speaking as an Alaskan, who has lived there BEFORE it was a state and AFTER it was incorporated into "the lower 48"......
ALASKA is a "country" onto it's self. The mindset of the people, the environment, the lifestyle is UNLIKE anything you
will find down here in the "lower 48".....the conditions, requirements, and ATTITUDE of Alaskan living has it's OWN sets of
rules and regs. Young has been a "fixture" of Alaska for a VERY LONG time......some despise him, some love him,BUT he
has "worked for Alaska" for MANY DECADES and his "country colloquialism" is just who he is......ALASKAN'S speak their
mind in a VERY succinct way......(NOT PC)......by the way Palin does NOT represent Alaska, she's a "hollywood horror".....(whore).....
ALASKAN'S ARE NOT PC.........take that to the bank.......
Now, do I think he was wrong, YES, but I do UNDERSTAND the intent......
A person coming up from the lower 48 and being "Alaskan" is called a cheechako, conversely someone born in a Alaska
is called a "sourdough"........."wetback" is within the SAME verbage. JMO
