You don't understand. If a Boston medical company providing critical supplies isn't allowed to open their shipping department that day, medical facilities all over the nation will have to pay more for faster delivery. Going from a $7 shipping charge to a $25 or more, with possible expedite charges will effect more than just the Boston area economy.
And while this same scenario would happen if Boston was shut down for a blizzard or a hurricane, this was a call made by authorities. It might have been the right call, especailly when you are talking about bombers, but it was a very expensive decision.
