Know what's really embarrassing? Whining to Larry the Lawyer and asking him to find some way, any way, to make the recall effort go away after serving your party instead of the people in your district. Morse should be embarrassed that he's even thinking of challenging the petition itself rather than accepting that his actions have given rise to discontent among those he was, at least in theory, elected to represent in the State General Assembly and seeking to defend his seat against any challenger looking to replace him.
The courts are supposed to be about justice. By any measure of justice those looking to recall him have more than made their case given they easily surpassed the required number of valid signatures on the petitions. What's the argument here Dog, that 3000 fewer people would have signed the petition if it said that an election should be held? Seriously? That's what Morse is hanging his hat on at the moment?

Talk about embarrassing . . . . . .
You mean ignoring constitutional requirements is embarrassing, don't you? Or should we just allow the Constitution and the law to be ignored rather than complied with. I mean really, what is so difficult about looking at the requirements which are clearly spelled out in both the Constitution and in the Statutes? But according to you, we should just look the other way rather than following the Constitution and the law. These are not minor technicalities but are the core of the relevant Constitution article and statute. Further, their petition does not allow for an election for a successor, only that Morse be recalled.
Edited to add:
What is really funny is that the very same individuals that are claiming that Morse ignored the US Constitution are now claiming that the state should ignore the Colorado Constitution and allow their deficient petition to stand. Now that is embarrassing.

No, the individuals and out of state big money groups behind the petition should be embarrassed since they can not even read clearly stated requirements in the law.
