There is doing nothing and there is making it worse. The ACA makes things worse. More full time jobs were lost last quarter, replaced by part time.
So the people on 20 hour weeks will get to pay penalties for not being able to afford health insurance?

You think it will make it worse....I, and many, many others, see it as a first step in a long process to provide affordable healthcare to people who previously could not afford it....and to those who have pre-existing conditions that prevented them from getting health insurance they could afford....if they could get any insurance at all. I know there will be issues to work out....just as there is with any major reform........but right now it's the best we've got.....I don't see the Republicans coming up with a viable alternative.....or any alternative for that matter.
Oh....and those people who you think will pay penalties....where are your figures that show what they will pay? If they are only working part-time, and making low wages, those are the very people ACA will help. All the fear mongering has gotten to you....and most of it is just that......fear mongering, not based on any facts. Do you have any figures and statistics that show what percentage of full time jobs will become part time jobs because of ACA? I would suggest that most companies would be cutting their own throats/profits if they did very much of that. Anecdotal stories of this small business or that company threatening to cut hours is simply hearsay.....not fact. Corporations rattling sabers to get the country to do their bidding. I hope Obama and the congress do not allow themselves to be bullied.
Dog herself pointed out the chain of theatres who were replacing their full time managers with part time employees.
The job numbers last week showed 150K full time jobs replaced by 350K part time. You may think this is progress, but I don't.

are many... already. NOBODY should be subsidized unless they qualify to be subsidized. This horrible bill will have enough issues as it is without relying on the honesty of the American people. It be different if the majority trusted the government, but they don't... so why should we expect people to be honest when it comes to being forced by the government to buy health insurance?
I predict these subsidies will increase faster than food stamps. And just like with college tuition, as subsidies and easy loans increase, so do the costs of the product.
Oh, yes, these mythical problems. The facts, if one was to read an honest report rather than a conservative hit piece, are that the majority of individuals applying for subsidies for their health insurance WILL have their incomes verified, and those in the minority who do not have their incomes immediately verified, will have to sign an oath as to their income, some of those will be randomly checked and the remainder will be subject to later verification.

It is really sad that you seem to agree with the author of the hit piece that it is terrible that low income Americans will finally be able to afford decent health care.
In regards to your bolded remark above...

The Department of Health and Human Services quietly announced Friday it was tweaking the rules requiring those seeking federal aid for insurance coverage to prove they actually need the help.
... Reuters reports that the new rules released on Friday will give 16 states — as well as the District of Columbia — a pass for now on the employer-insurance verification. For those states, which are launching their own exchanges, the federal government will give them until 2015 to start random checks. The exchanges themselves launch at the beginning of 2014.

If one was to read an honest report, you wouldn't have left out this little detail. Oh... and I think you missed this too!
Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah wrote a letter to the administration asking why the president is already requesting 107 percent more than three years ago to pay for subsidies.
It doesn't appear this ObamaCare thingy is staying with in the rage of "affordable." And we haven't even gotten started yet.
