If the Republicans think the ACA is such a horrible plan, why then haven't they crafted am alternative? They might get some traction with repealing it IF they had an alternative plan. But they don't. Bitching and moaning and complaining and whining accomplishes nothing if you have no alternative.

In that case the person (or any person under 65) would qualify for Medicaid. Medicaid may or may not be free, depending on the state.
I already gave this link to calculate what subsidies (monthly tax credits) you might get with Obamacare based on your income.
According to the calculator, a 27 year old making $34,000 would get no subsidy and must pay the full $3,163 yearly Obamacare premium which comes to a high 9.38% of income.
You can deduct medical expenses (includes health insurance premiums) from your federal taxable income, but only those that exceed 7.5% of income. And as I recall, Obamacare raised that to 10%.

The GOP position is to repeal Obamacare, which is to say, to repeal all of the law’s consumer protections forever, but now Republicans are hitting Obama for delaying a portion of the consumer protections for a year? lol Republicans simply have no vision for a meaningful role for government to play in fixing the health care system, whether it comes to the consumer protections that are being debated today or anywhere else.
Complain, complain, complain... "Repeal and Squeal"...
No alternatives, (other than the free-market which leaves millions uninsured altogether.) But, hey, "let them eat cake..." If they are poor and can't afford it, it's because they're ALL lazy, and they should work harder, right?... The kids who have cancer or heart conditions and have hit their lifetime maximum---"Work harder you little beggars." The people holding down 2-3 minimum-wage jobs because they can't find anything else---It's your own fault for not [pick one: picking the right education; picking the right occupation; picking the right job; picking the right parents...] I'll go with "picking the right parents", Alex... If you're born into the right wealth, then insurance is no problem...
The GOTP HAS NO 'POSITION'... Their position is "We don't care if you suffer, and/or don't have health care...It must be your own fault." Their "position" is complain about ACA, and offer NOTHING in its place.
How many will be uninsured?: MILLIONS FEWER than would be uninsured under the Republican plan...

And as I pointed out in my first post here, right now these calculators are estimates, usually based on CBO estimates. After all this time, we are still waiting for the actual Obamacare insurance premiums (due Oct 1). But there are still facts as well, and you still haven't provided one source to show 27 year olds would not have to pay for their insurance.
