I don't see that kind of outrage nor initiative from the general populace.........THAT kind of outrage is lacking.....JMO
Yep, nowadays people just yawn and say thing like "Sorry, dude, the WHOLE of our government LIES......been that way forever and will NOT change."
Or "Bush did it first."
No...but people have to question why it took 8 years for you "freedom lovers" to start complaining about it. Talk about closing the stable door after the horse has bolted

Here's the REALITY.....the absolute moment the Patriot Act was signed (with much relief,"our
government will keep us safe"....the American people RELINQUISHED any semblance of privacy
or amendment certainty. You can NOT have it both ways....SAFETY is an illusion that the
American people believe is their given right.....(JMO)

So, has it been that way forever or since the Patriot Act was signed? EMWTK
"I don't see that kind of outrage nor initiative from the general populace......" ..... them blah, blah, politics......
Certainly the general populacE is 70% contained into the police state.....I agree. Lookout for yourself accordingly........the founders gave you the tools......do what your heart tells your CONSISTENT WITH YOUR LEVEL OF COURAGE......that is where you will eventually be,.......... dude.
THE DARKETS PLACES IN HELL ARE RESERVED FOR THOSE WHO MAINTAIN THEIR NEUTRALITY IN TIMES OF MORAL CRISIS..........DUDE.
What you FAIL to comprehend is this......Mankind is evolving and that evolution is about 50 or
60 percent complete....there will be MANY lessons before mankind has reached it's maturity of
thought/deed......WHY are these events happening? WHY so many within a short time-span?
WHY have most things hit "critical mass"?......
From a college classmate EAST COAST today- a perspective....personally I vote for ans implement STRONG encryption:
I don't know if there are enough patriotic Congressmen left to mount an impeachment effort. What I fear (and believe likely) is that the surveillance program has already turned up sufficient dirt on most elected officials that they are essentially puppets of the secret state. I also believe that loss of freedom is almost irreversible: that totalitarian governments can maintain power even though they are widely feared and opposed and even though they act against the public interest. Historical progress has already been rolled back to before 1215 and the enactment of the Magna Carta. Nearly 800 years of progress in human rights lost.
There are a few things we can try to do. We should recognize that the secret state works for great wealth, such as the Rockefellers. And we can see that this banking elite depends for power and wealth on the privately-owned Federal Reserve. The Fed is a creature created by Congress and Congress can end it. Doing so would drain an important source of power of the ruling elite.
Another thing would be to throw sand in the gears, to make it difficult for agents of the secret state to be recruited or to carry out their missions. See the article about the huge majority that want to prosecute Director of National Intelligence Gen. Clapper
http://www.salon.com/2013/08/15/huge_ma ... r_perjury/
. You might join the effort to prosecute him at
http://act.boldprogressives.org/survey/phone_spying/
. I did so, advocating that that he was guilty of treason and, at the very least, should be impeached (and sent to Guantanamo). Impeachment and conviction ends all benefits of federal service and prevents the person from ever holding federal office. So, it financially destroys the person. It throws sand in the gears by strongly discouraging officials from impeachable activity. To me, merely prosecuting him for purgery overlooks the more serious part of the crime.
