Just goes to show if you're going to talk the talk... you know the rest. I don't blame the administration for not doing much, I just think he should'nt have made the threat without thinking through the what ifs first.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
If he hadn't warned him and this happened you'd all be screaming "He shoudl have WARNED HIM not to!!"
Wow... that warning was a lot of hot air wasn't it? In this case... I would have been happier if he kept his mouth shut. That's sort of like voting "present." Oh wait...
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
If he hadn't warned him and this happened you'd all be screaming "He shoudl have WARNED HIM not to!!"
No, actually I wouldn't. If he isn't going to backup his threat, he should never make a threat. Making empty threats only makes us weaker in the eyes of our enemies. If we are going to be passive, we need to get out of that entire region and just let them kill each other. After all, Obama said "we don't take sides". If we don't take sides, why make threats?
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Fred, did you expect him to immediately follow through with something like.. i don't know... confirmation?
Thank God we don't live in a hairpin trigger world that you seem to want. Just because he didn't act the second it happened doesn't mean it's an empty threat. A UN team is on the ground there and will look into it. It does make me wonder why Assad would pull such a stunt when the UN inspection team is in the country. I wonder if he has control of his military?
