Should the President go before Congress and the American people to explain why we need to attack Syria? Or should he just attack the Assad regime like he rules, with executive orders and writing regulations?
It might be time to have Kerry appear before the Senate with photo of gassed Syrian babies, demonstrations of the effects of poison gas on unprotected humans, and the radio chatter of Syrian officers ordering the gas attacks.
I think Boehner and other Republicans would appreicate being consulted, and being neo-cons and war hawks, they would probably sign on. This might even help start better communications and working to compromise on domestic issues.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
I would love to see bipartisan peace protests in the streets asking us to stay out of the Syrian Civil War.
David Sirota is upset to see the usual peaceniks quiet here. The left wing of the Democrat Party did go against LBJ and his Vietnam War effort. In the day of Red V. Blue, it hasn't happened so far.

Guess it depends upon the official report from the INSPECTORS,that report will not be publicly
available till next week (after the holidays) and THEN there needs to be a "discussion".....so,at
the earliest about a week or 10 days BEFORE any action will be taking......I will wait for the
inspectors report before commenting further.....HOWEVER, "Our lives begin to end the moment
we become silent about things that matter.".......GASSING CHILDREN MATTERS......(and yes,I
understand that we CAN'T do it alone, that OTHER nations need to be involved.).....JMO
Biden is continuing to run against Hillary.....nothing more....a real gas bag.
Gas is NOT a weapon of mass destruction.....period. Gas is a weapon held by many nations (including USA)......it has become a PC nasty to stir the sheep........death by gas is same as death by a bullet....dead is dead. FOR 100 years troops have been trained to counter gas and bio weps.......nasty stuff but so is a 50 cal machine gun...all unpleasant.
Now in 1973 Congress voted to terminate 2 million Cambodians (American people seemed to not really care as long as the draft ended and malls were safe at home) by defunding their protection.
Why now the concern for Syrian civilians........lives were lost and will be lost......my answer.....OIL......Americas do not give a rip about the civilians there.....our character was defined in 1973..
So the US, as the world's self-appointed policeman, may be planning to bomb Syria to punish their leadership for gassing citizens. Are these selective strikes that won't kill the citizens that weren't killed by gas? Dead is dead - I doubt the innocents aren't caring much whether it was gas (them) or bomb (us).
How is it not OK for Assad to gas his people but OK for the US to bomb them?
