I was just in Belgium and still 90 years later a honor guard in the town of Ypres goes out every night at 8PM to honor the commonwealth soldiers who gave up their lives protecting Belgium from German forces.
I would like to think decades later we will still be honoring those firefighters who climbed the stairs of the WTC trying to rescue people. Or the valiant unarmed passengers who took on terrorists on that ill-fated flight over Pennsylvania.
