So on days like today, what do those "fire danger' signs say up there... moderate? Or do they even bother to change them anymore?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

The extended drought we've experienced won't be fixed by a few days rain - a lot of this ran off. It needs to be sustained over multiple years in order to make the 100 and 1,000 hour fuels moisture-rich again. https://fp.auburn.edu/fire/fuels_effect.htm

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Regardless, I think there should just be a permanent open fire ban in the mountains. I think they make a campfire app for most smartphones anyway.

Those accumulated fuels need to be removed from the forest. Once they have dried out they will become a hazard again.

Yea... but that app only creates a graphic flame on the screen and it can't cook anything.

Coleman stoves can. I love a good campfire as mmuch as the next guy, but I also know this world if full of morons who don't know how to properly put them out.
