Mutiny is in the air

Could it be? I doubt it.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government ... s-part-two

..."Ask yourself: When the best-funded lobbyists show up in the halls of power in D.C., what do they want to talk about? Helping folks out in Indiana or somewhere else in middle America actually to make things and to create jobs? Or do they want to talk about protecting multibillion-dollar scams--presumably legal, but certainly not productive--such as what Wall Streeters are pulling in the aluminum market? The cost to the consumer may be just a penny or two per aluminum can, but that adds up fast if you’re on the receiving end.
And when the richest executives and moguls hold fundraisers for politicians of both parties, what’s the main topic? It’s not help to help farmers or ranchers; instead, it’s how to protect another scammy Wall Street finagle, this one concerning the profitable manipulation of ethanol tax credits.
Of course, these fatcats have a conscience, of a kind. So after they take care of business--their business--they prove they “have a heart” by funding such trendy causes as gay marriage or global warming. And if you think that neither cause has much to do with helping ordinary people get jobs or build businesses, well, that’s tough. They have the money, and you don’t."...

BB...The implosion of the "Indiana Industries" was self inflicted by BOTH entitlements (Union driven) and inept management. David Halberstam in "The Reckoning" (1986 William Morrow) precisely predicted the implosion and now Fiat owns Chrysler (yes, Jeep and Guts and Glory Dodge - still junk) and we still own GM (massive wellfare exercise). The "fat cats" are a myth used to make excuses for a failed culture.

I was in Atlanta 1990-2004 and we saw the mass exodus from the failed system embraced by the Belt and the counties there (Atlanta) increased in population by a FACTOR of ten in ten years......most from Illionis, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana....... and yes a bunch headed to the front range. The issue of concern of the establishment in the upper south was the same entitlement crowd that imploded the upper mid-west would vote in the South......we gained FIVE congressional seats while the Belt lost five. Many here - mostly Belt Yokles blame Cal for liberalizing CO politics - wrong it was (is) the failed Rustbelters clawing for Radical Socalist approaches that gave us Detroit....Governor here is a Bar Tender from PA........what ??

Because these issues are driven by voters here, now from a broken system we have little to be optomistic about. We here are in a minor way reflect the discussion ongoing in WDC......you bet there is a mutiny in the air......

Capitalism bad?
OK, caveman. Even Europe, socialist dystopia, is moving back to capitalism.

Starving Americans? Obesity and Diabetes II is a bigger problem in America than starvation. How many Americans actually starved to death compared to people dying from obesity related causes? Time to update your playbook again, Mr. Contradiction Bowl.

Don't tell me, or people working 3 part time jobs and still not making it that the economy is good lol ...So now Fred - you are saying the economy is just fine? Let me pull up some links you've written on the economy-

Capitalism is dying, and if the ultra rich wanna keep what they got, and keep the cash cows alive....they better be prepared for the the return of the Ronald Reagan tax rates..

I am not saying the economy is fine. Obama has totally mishandled the recovery. Something like seven times as many part time jobs have been created compared to full time. But thousands of new regulations have been written and employers are too uncertain to add full time employees because they don't have faith in Obama.

GIVEN what he inherited, Cakes has done a good job with the economy.......there is still MUCH downside coming (FED stops QE - interest rates will take off) and nobody will handle that. mIDDLE CLASS IS DEAD AND THERE IS NO ECONOMIC BUFFER.......SAD TIMES, THE depression WILL BE WITH US FOR MANY YEARS.

Youre right, the middle class is going away, our slice of the pie has shrunk dramatically over the last 40 years...Now who's fault is that, the party that represents the rich and the corporations, or the party of the people?

Take your time, I know its a hard question..

There is no "party of the people". Both major parties are bought and paid for, often by the same entities. You keep forgetting that it is no longer the 1950s, we now compete in a global economy. Our labor forces and manufacturing compete with workers who are happy to make $100 a month. Your unions are dead or dying.
