Curious....it was a woman and a child, this is pure supposition on my part, but it sounds like she may have gotten confused in all the barricades on the roads around the White House and panicked when officials descended on her car and raced off in her car. She finally came to s stop and shots were fired. The injured cop was injured in a crash, apparently when she stopped.

Archer.....I have walked those grounds many, many times......we will see what unfolds. FACTS......unarmed female with child in back is surrounded by many cops with drawn guns and then fired upon multiple times (on film). MORE to follow. The multitude of pencil barracades in that area - both WH and capitol is very confusing for sure for an experienced driver.....film indicates she did not ram the posts......may have ben a bit upset to be looking down the barrels of multiple 9MM pistols handled by cops she may not have had confidence in......much more to follow and possibly a MASSIVE wrongful death lawsuite.......post 911 craziness...

There's plenty of signage in front of every secure entry point to any US Government facility. Pulling up on a US Government facility secure entry point doesn't automatically cause the guard(s) on duty to pull their weapons and open fire. The normal course of action is to ask the driver for their credentials, no credentials means that the guard will ask the driver where they are trying to go.

If the driver doesn't stop when signaled to do so then it's an act of aggression, running the gate (or trying to run the gate) of any secure US Government facility will get the reaction we saw today. Frankly I'm surprised that there was as much driving around after the initial attempt to ram the gate, at a minimum the vehicle should have been disabled at the gate.

In the meanwhile there's lots of video surveillance to review, investigations to conduct, and facts to uncover. Let's sit back and let the authorities do their work and learn what they have determined before jumping to the conclusion that the police did anything wrong. When we have all of the facts then we can place the blame on the responsible party (or parties), unless Eric Holder is in charge of the investigation...

In no way was I suggesting the police did anything wrong.....only speculating on how the woman may have found herself running from them.

Do you mean she was driving an assault car? Sure it was black but it lacked the aggressive styling that made it scary to me...
