It isn't the dems don't want a balanced budget, they do......and I believe republicans do too. The impass is over how to achieve that goal. Republicans want to cut services until we reach a balance, democrats want to raise revenue and allow for some cuts to achieve a balance. That is a fundamental difference. In the past both sides have agreed to compromises, some increases in revenue, some cuts in spending, and the system works and we had budget surpluses. Not any more......the all or nothing approach to a budget will always fail.

Do you see citizens taking responsibility for their actions and the mess we created, I don't. I see most of them blaming some other political party. I see you doing this, I see the R's doing this. I see people wanting the solution to come from somewhere else and not blaming themselves.
