What's the contingency plan?

12 Nov 2013 10:10 #1 by Venturer
So now that it is becoming clearer to non IT people that the ACA website isn't going to be ready on time what is the alternative? If they kick the can down the road and delay what happens to all those who have had their health insurance cancelled?

If you are IT savvy it will never be fixed because it is beyond repair. So now what happens?

I can't envision what the Dems and RINO's will work on as alternative that will cost the taxpayer more money that they don't have. But I know they will. What do you envision being proposed?

Great question. You can go back on forth with partisan bickering but what solutions are out there? There are a few bills floating around the House and Senate but we really haven't seen a bipartisan deal worked out. And the White House is silent on it. Some say that delaying ACA will kill it and that may be why the administration won't consider going back to the old way for another year. And there are some in the GOP who want to see Obamacare fail so that they will gain seats in 2014 so they are dragging their feet.

Pressure is building from the Dems who are running in 2014 (even though Debbie Was-a-man Schultz says they will run on the greatness of the aca :rofllol )... These Dems will most likely push for a delay until after the election so they have a chance of keeping their jobs. For the people who have been dropped and can't afford a more expensive "for your own good" plan, I'm guessing there will be more suibsidies and more navigators going door to door if need be. The Dems will not allow this to cut their own throats so they will act like they hate it until they are re-elected, then it will be back to cheering for this horrible law.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I bet they will end up delaying the individual mandate for a year which is what they should have done when the house had pushed for during the budget talks. Then the democrates could have avoided both this mess and the "government shutdown".

But that would have proven Republicans right, not an option for the left.

Pride before the fall? And Obama is like the Fonz, he can't admit he was wrong.

If the problem was increasing health, then it would be a good question. The problem was creating another program to fund. The problem has been solved. All that is left is program, rulemaking and staffing expansion. You were not expecting this program to work and if you were, what did you base this expectation on? It is a money transfer tool and it will work in the long run to transfer money from where you wanted it to go to where LJ's and DougiePiles wanted it to go (their leaders). Problem solved.

I researched this some more today. If you go to ehealthinsurance you can still sign up for 2013 plans before 12/31, United healthcare is one. Kaiser said they are discontinuing non-ACA plans end of year. There are options. Tic Tock Tick Toc

There is also a possibility Congress will pass a bill this week to extend.

Another cliff, the Health insurance cliff.. Nice Gov't we have working for us huh? :)

Enjoy!

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Obama can't let it go because of the poor, sick. Isn't that what medicaid is for? And where so many are being sent? What again is the point of ACA?

The point was creating another program to fund. The point has been made. Problem solved, point made.

Now your job is to be distracted my the next fake issue or paying your taxes so they can just to their jobs of growing this program.
