Political way out or coward's way out?
Dirty trick? From an e-mail:
"Since Evie Hudak resigned BEFORE the petition was certified, I suspect normal resignation and vacancy rules apply. Based on that, according to Colorado Statute, Evie Hudak can withdraw her resignation anytime before her replacement is sworn into office. See the following:
“should the member of the general assembly withdraw the letter of resignation prior to the effective date, the person nominated by the vacancy committee may not be certified to the secretary of state.” (CRS 1-12-203(4))
In other words:
No petitions = No resignation!
It’s not over until it’s over!!!

"The news is in. It’s official. And, this is the final update…
Evie Hudak’s resignation is official and the recall office is closed for business!
Evie Hudak’s resignation letter has been accepted by all necessary parties. The Colorado Secretary of State will not even accept recall petitions because Evie Hudak is no longer in office. This ruling provides great comfort to those of us who are naturally suspicious about the motives behind her resignation. This essentially means concerns that Hudak might “withdraw” the resignation letter as discussed below have been addressed in the form of a ruling from the Secretary of State’s office.
With that in mind…
The recall office will open one last time…
Please join recall organizers this Sunday, December 1 at 3:00 pm for a HUGE victory party!
On this Thanksgiving Eve, I am so thankful to live in a country where we still have First Amendment Rights which are precariously secured by our Second Amendment Rights.
Some days I want to throw in the towel and call it quits. But when I think about the sacrifice so many others have made who have come before me - and the lives of my children and future generations who deserve the same freedoms - I realize I must do my part to save this precious Republic we call America!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Amen to that sister!
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
So much needs to be said about the men and women who do everything it takes everyday 24/7 to protect us and our way of life; too often they don't get the recognition they deserve.
Looking at the issue from the other side of the coin, we're paying them to do a job and they're doing it so why do we owe them anything more?
Walk a day in their boots, go into the areas where the shooting isn't random urban gang BS, seeing friends be injured and often dieing from their injuries, laying down in the dirt to try and sleep while the fray continues all around them. Knowing that the only thing they can look forward to is more of the same. Wondering why anyone is pressing them to re-enlist or extend a commission when their survival instincts tell them to get out at any cost but re-upping because it's the right thing to do.
Do we owe these people thanks? It's a rhetorical question, if you feel compelled to answer then you probably don't understand the question or what these volunteers are doing for you right now, every day all day to protect your way of life and the rights afforded to you by the Constitution.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Something tells me "Black Friday" has an all-new meaning for Evie and her fellow democrats. Even the New York Times calls her out as a quiter. Guessing she suffered from "quiter's coma" yesterday and not "turkey coma" like the rest of us. I bet she was fun to have at the Thanksgiving table.

"When you add all that in together and stir in the collapse of the national brand, the congressional Democrats, the president and the Affordable Care Act, it’s close to panic,” Mr. Ciruli said.
