Gotta love it.

Pope Francis said that Paul Ryan and John Boehner are liars? You got a source for that quote?

I'll supply links when Fred does... Until then, it's out there...You go find it.

Unless you can show where Pope Francis specifically called Ryan and Boehner liars I have no choice but to think that you are misinformed.

As far as the Pope talking about trickle-down, you are misquoting him with your own personal spin. What he said was "... trickle down policies have not been proven to work and they reflect a “naïve trust in the goodness of those wielding economic power.”

The Pope's " 'I have a Dream' speech" regarding abortion...

Among the vulnerable for whom the Church wishes to care with particular love and concern are unborn children, the most defenceless and innocent among us. Nowadays efforts are made to deny them their human dignity and to do with them whatever one pleases, taking their lives and passing laws preventing anyone from standing in the way of this. Frequently, as a way of ridiculing the Church’s effort to defend their lives, attempts are made to present her position as ideological, obscurantist and conservative. Yet this defence of unborn life is closely linked to the defence of each and every other human right. It involves the conviction that a human being is always sacred and inviolable, in any situation and at every stage of development. Human beings are ends in themselves and never a means of resolving other problems. Once this conviction disappears, so do solid and lasting foundations for the defence of human rights, which would always be subject to the passing whims of the powers that be. Reason alone is sufficient to recognize the inviolable value of each single human life, but if we also look at the issue from the standpoint of faith, “every violation of the personal dignity of the human being cries out in vengeance to God and is an offence against the creator of the individual”. Precisely because this involves the internal consistency of our message about the value of the human person, the Church cannot be expected to change her position on this question. I want to be completely honest in this regard. This is not something subject to alleged reforms or “modernizations”. It is not “progressive” to try to resolve problems by eliminating a human life. On the other hand, it is also true that we have done little to adequately accompany women in very difficult situations, where abortion appears as a quick solution to their profound anguish, especially when the life developing within them is the result of rape or a situation of extreme poverty. Who can remain unmoved before such painful situations?”

And, of course, women still cannot joint the priesthood.

I'll refrain from making up names of Democrats who the Pope is supposedly talking about...

Seems to me he also told the Catholics of the world to get over themselves on things like abortion and gay marriage and stop obsessing over it. That seems pretty sane to me.

Pope Says Church Should Stop Obsessing Over Gays, Abortion

Pope Francis said the Catholic Church shouldn’t be “obsessed” with preaching about abortion, gay marriage and contraception and should instead try to reach out to a broader congregation.

“It is not necessary to talk about these issues all the time,” Francis told the Catholic publication, La Civilta Cattolica. “We have to find a new balance; otherwise even the moral edifice of the Church is likely to fall like a house of cards, losing the freshness and fragrance of the Gospel.”

"Please, God, protect me from your followers." You don't like abortion? Don't have one.

Wow... your really have NO CLUE as to what the current Pope feels about core issues in the Catholic Church.

And you never addressed Mtn Gramma's retort to your lies.

It's a small, ugly and sad person that will use Catholic doctrine and try to spin it into their socialistic world. Oh... and did I forget dishonest?

Of course, you are free to try to re-spin and re-interpret what he said according to your god of greed, profit, and capitalism...(I'm sure the Club For Growth, and the Heritage Foundation are going bat-sh*t-crazy about now trying to spin what he said...) I'll believe in a specific source as soon as you clowns provide a specific source for Obama saying he is a "socialist." That's YOUR interpretation...And this one is mine.

What he said is about as unambiguous as it gets... Trickle-down HASN'T, DOESN'T, WON'T and CAN'T because that "naïve trust in the goodness of those wielding economic power" has historically shown that it's a lie. I'm not misinformed.

I'm kind of liking this guy. He's calling out your loathsome greed & selfishness for what it is.

I don't believe that anyone ever said that Obama said he was a socilaist. We know he is a socilaist by his actions but that lying sack of manure would never admit it.

So do you think that being pope means that all conservatives should bow at his feet and agree with everything he says? The pope is just one man out of 7 billion with his own unique opinions.
