It is as old as I am and only has one read left. I would love to pass it on. Bushnells not required.

Might just have to take you up on that offer. I remember reading lots of Asimov and Bradbury and never branched out much to other authors.

Oh man, I am jealous. Too be able to read some other greats for the first time.

My problem is that I became lazy and opted for syfi movies instead of books... the fast food of imagination. Now I'm going to go cook myself a badass burger and a salad :Smileorange:

BB, I still have your copy of The Rolling Stones - I'll finish it one of these days! My Dad, who's library full of sci-fi got me started as a kid, still keeps up with the new authors, next time I talk to him I'll ask him if he has anyone he recommends.

Rick, if you don't mind a little fantasy tossed in with the sci-fi, one of my favorite authors is Anne McCaffrey. She wrote the Dragonriders of Pern series, The Ship Who Sang series, The Crystal Singer series, Decision at Doona series, and several random ones. Alan Dean Foster is another great, love his adventures of Flinx.

The Stainless Steel Rat series by Harry Harrison starts out well, but gets far-fetched and goofy as it goes on (kind of like the Adventures of Conrad Stargard by Leo Frankowski) so if you can contain yourself to the first few books, you'll enjoy them but if you get sucked into a series you'll be annoyed that the later books let you down and waste your time. At least, that's what I found, but I'm kinda picky. :)

Guess you shouldn't have dropped out of school before they taught you how to do that, huh?

What's a cut back block? Honestly. If that's a sports related term then I'm offended for the second time. I don't know that much about ski jumping, you'll have to explain it to me.

Good luck SC!

You know I love ya netdude, but that's bullsh**. If all I ever focused on in my life was the sh** that other people do or say about me or my opinions, I would've committed suicide before I even left puberty. I certainly wouldn't be running a community forum in which our vision is to provide a place for everyone to share their own opinions as they wish; agreement is not expected or guaranteed.

I'd much rather focus on trying to make things better by leading by example with my own behavior, fighting for what's right when need be, and learning to not take criticism personally. I know you support me and this business, but when you only make comments like the one above, and your last one in this forum, you need to realize that it only tears this business down. How about some constructive criticism or adding content you like to this place and debating facts with people instead of just complaining how they respond?

And while I'm on the subject, this isn't a "fact-free echo chamber" either - it would be that if only conservatives or only liberals were allowed to post here. That's not the case. It will become that if one side decides themselves to stop participating, and it certainly ebbs and flows back and forth depending upon what's happening in the larger world. This board reflects the community it represents and we're not going to agree with each other because we have beliefs that are all over the spectrum. If there's something you don't agree with, debate the facts and don't be surprised if you don't change anyone's minds - people hold onto beliefs tightly. Instead, enjoy the intellectual exercise, or try to learn something new - you never know when you'll meet someone who will become a new friend. Lord knows it's happened many times through the history of forums in this area alone.

Off soap box. You all can do what you will. I just found the damn comments funny. Especially the one about oil on Mars.

You forgot one.

4) Liberals are godless, immoral cretins.

Of course there is no water on Mars, because water would indicate the possibility of life and we know that the Christian God made man in his image and that there is not a greater or lessor life than humans in the whole universe. It's in the bible Netdude.

(There... does that make you feel better) :sarcasm:

I'm mystified about the water on Mars, but at least we now know how jelly doughnuts appear on Mars...

So now we have water and jelly doughnuts on Mars. That's about all you need to sustain human life (at least for cops) on Mars. Just add beer and pizza and we can colonize the place! :Goofy:
