Society for the Elimination of Monotonal Instruments

I thought the GHB were tuned closest to B Flat like a trumpet, which, come to think of it, makes the trumpet, and the bugle, also a natural D major instrument. Sorry Bud, have to decline yet again. For whatever reason, you seem to be resolved to displace the instruments, and their natural scale, that are most dear to me.

Edited to add - There are Pipes that are bellows operated instead of bag operated, which at least takes the objection to GHG production out of your list. Generally these are called small pipes as opposed to the GHB, and they are a G instrument, not a B Flat (or near B Flat to be more precise) one. Perhaps you could suggest that the offending Piper look into that option? I don't know if it will really help much, given that even the small pipes are but a single octave plus one note instrument, but at least it would be in a different key.

At least join me in declaring D major a most undesirable and detestable scale.

Tell Andrew Lloyd Weber that. Some of his most popular ballads were written in D major.

He must really hate a D major diatonic harmonica.
