The original Tea Partiers? Who followed up the TEA Party with going to war to protect their arsenal from the Brits.

It is a little more complicated than just fighting for freedom. The country owed Russia big money for oil and natural gas contracts but don't have the money to pay it. So the current leader cut a deal with Putin to pay off some of it, if Ukraine stayed in the Russian sphere of influence.
The people rioting in the streets don't like the deal and would prefer to link up with Europe, but Europe isn't offering to pay off their energy debts.
So if the rebels win, Russia might have to go in and take a chunk of the Ukraine that is home to a high density Russian population.
Europe is protesting the crackdown on the Ukranian people but I doubt they would be willing to do much more.

And the money owed Russia has been lining the pockets of the countries leaders and oligarchs, that's why Russia hasn't been paid.

The people in the streets would like to westernize and have more open trade with the EU, and stop being financially raped by their leaders.

There is a gas pipeline that runs from Russia through the Ukraine to eastern and western Europe. That's what the Russians are afraid of loosing control of. They don't give two hoots about the Russian speaking Ukrainian in the east.

Arsenals in western Ukraine have been looted by rebels. Maybe more than rocks and Molotovs on the streets of Kiev tomorrow. :banghead: But don't worry Obama drew a line today against violence in the Ukraine. That should fix everything.

Obama said "there will be consequences"... what exactly would those consequences look like? At this point, I don't think anyone is afraid of Obama's consequences or red lines.

Obama should just stay on the golf courses and extended vacations and keep his pie hole shut.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
