It's never too soon to rewrite history

Tom DeLay: People keep forgetting that God ‘wrote the Constitution’ (VIDEO)

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) this week warned Americans to remember that God “wrote the Constitution” based on the Bible.

During an appearance on John Hagee Ministries’ Global Evangelism Television (GETV) network on Wednesday, host Matt Hagee asked the Texas Republican where the country had gone wrong.

“I think we got off the track when we allowed our government to become a secular government,” DeLay explained. “When we stopped realizing that God created this nation, that He wrote the Constitution, that it’s based on biblical principles.”

Yes, he DID. PS would therefore be a liar...No matter how many times he uses the word "collectivists" in a sentence, it doesn't change what DeLay said. Perhaps he should look at more than the fact-free echo-chamber once in a while.

That tri-corner hat getting a little tight on that square head with the Sovereign Citizens wackos you hang with?

...Oh, and the ubiquitous :rofllol :LMAO:

SSeriously Jazzer, you have to see about getting some of that guano out of your cranium. Are you so desperate that you must intentionally distort in order to try and make a point? There is no way on God's green Earth that DeLay is saying that God took pen in hand and put words to paper, which is the nonsense you, and your equally lunatic fringe source, are trying to sell here. Now, perhaps you and your source are such simpletons that this is what you believe DeLay to have said, but I assure you, the rest of us, see the statement for what it is.

You're a liar and a fool Jazzer. You're bigotry has become your whole world, which is actually kind of sad truth be told.

Using that logic, then God did not write the Bible, either.

Printsmith's logic is spot on. No one claims God wrote the Bible himself. The common thought in theological circles is God inspired man to write what is contained in scriptures. Anyone with two days of Bible study under their belt would know and understand that.

But you already knew that.

Sad is a grown, intelligent man misusing "you're" in a sentence.

And who is this "grown, intelligent man" that you are referring to?

Using that logic, then it could be said that God inspired the Constitution.

As has been demonstrated by Lady Jazzer, DeLay said that God wrote the Constitution, for which a direct quote, from DeLay, has been provided. PrintSmith said that is not possible, that God didn't pick up a pen and write it. Therefore, extending the logic, God couldn't have written the Bible.

But then, you already knew that.

Delay said it. There can be no doubt about that unless you think the audio was doctored. Maybe he just needs a few days of Bible study?

That would be me Rev - last sentence, first word, of my reply to our resident bigot.

When one parses what was said, with the intention of removing the context in which it was said, the only excuse for doing so is an intent to mislead others about what was said. Such is the case with Jazzer's offering in this instance. She is lying about what DeLay said, pure and simple. What DeLay said was the sum of his words, not the partial sentence plucked from the middle of his statements. To pretend otherwise is both disingenuous and dishonest, two qualities Jazzer has displayed an abundance of on a regular basis for quite some time now. I may question her ability to understand this basic principle that anyone with an above room temperature IQ can easily grasp, but I am quite certain that it is not beyond your abilities to comprehend and understand.
