Now that tens of thousands of gun owners in Connecticut are in direct violation of a hastily-passed gun control law, a video of a fed-up Navy veteran warning lawmakers that he “will not comply” with the law is just going viral. As previously reported by TheBlaze, as many as 100,000 gun owners technically became felons overnight because they chose not to register their semi-automatic rifles and/or high-capacity magazines.
“I’m a 30-year public servant, 20-year career fireman, OK? United States Navy veteran, upstanding citizen all my life, three children — and with the stroke of a pen from the ivory tower with the gold top, you’ve decided to create me to be a felon. A class D felony for doing absolutely nothing wrong.”
We have rights and it's time to stand up for what we are guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Like it or not, he is now breaking the law and yes, he is a felon. As a 20 year career firefighter and ex-serviceman, he is not setting a good example.
He didn't do "absolutely nothing wrong." A law was passed and he decided to ignore it.
Just as we removed certain politicians in Colorado who went against the peoples will, and those changes could tip the political landscape in Colorado in the future (and then making changes to the restrictive gun laws), these folks in Conn. need to follow a legal process to change their laws.
The laws can be changed. Just recently in Socialist California, two counties voted to instigate conceal carry. If a 2nd amendment friendly law can be passed in California, then there a many opportunities to use the legal process to get these restrictive laws removed or changed.
Throughout our history, individuals have risked their lives and their freedom to stand up for the rest of us... this is just one more of those people. This guy may not be risking his life, but he may be risking his freedom and probably an IRS audit or some other lovely government boot on his neck.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
