No, they said they needed to wait for the results of the court actions in Nebraska for the PEOPLE who are fighting the "eminent domain" taking of their land, and to see if the South Dakota permit is renewed...which many are predicting WON'T get renewed.
Interesting how the right-wing is okay with a foreign company, TransCanada, being given the right BY THE STATE, to just take people's property for their own capitalistic need. Oh, I forgot...The Righties don't give a sh*t about the American people.
Why is it bad when the government tries to get a rancher to pay what he owes for using government land for decades, but good when the government wants to take land away from people for a project that mostly benefits a foreign country? Where are the right wing protesters protecting the rights of the good citizens of Nebraska?
Mostly benefits a foreign country? How do you know that? The oil is going down to Texas refineries. Sounds like that will create American jobs and help to lower energy prices.

"The pipeline’s path in Nebraska, one of three states the northern leg of Keystone would cross, was thrown into doubt in February when a state judge invalidated legislation that let the Republican governor approve the path. The judge said that only the state Public Service Commission -- an agency created to take politics out of decisions involving the taking of land for private projects -- had that power."
The Denver Post supports Keystone. Archer do you prefer the plan that puts a pipeline through the Canadian Rockies and no jobs or petrol come to the US? Or better yet LJ's plan to let the oil go by rail through population centers?
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
I don't give a flying flip what the Denver Post supports... The jobs numbers that the Righties keep relying on are a lie. Maybe 3-4,000 temporary jobs, and that's it...
A complaint sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in January accused TransCanada of using “false or misleading statements about the proposed Keystone XL pipeline,” and “consistently used public statements and information it knows are false in a concerted effort to secure permitting approval of Keystone XL from the U.S. government” with claims the pipeline will create American jobs “at a rate that is 67 times higher than job creation totals given by the company to Canadian officials for the Canadian portion of the pipeline.” TransCanada admits the pipeline’s construction will create at best, a few thousand temporary jobs, and that the Canadian oil will be sold to China and Europe on the foreign market.
TransCanada also reported that instead of reducing fuel prices for Americans, it will increase them because the pipeline will drain off oil reserves as it passes over the Ogallala Aquifer that supplies drinking water to 2 million Americans and is the primary source of groundwater for 20% of America’s agriculture. The potential for environmental disaster is immense because another TransCanada pipeline spilled 12 times in one year, and two years ago in Michigan the Lakehead pipeline system ruptured; crews are still cleaning up the mess because instead of floating, tar sand oil sinks. Those are indisputable facts about the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, and still, Boehner continues assailing the President for not granting an immediate permit.

Oh, and that lie about "creating jobs"...
"Republicans have said that this would be a big jobs generator," Obama said, according to the newspaper.
"There is no evidence that that's true. The most realistic estimates are this might create maybe 2,000 jobs during the construction of the pipeline, which might take a year or two, and then after that we're talking about somewhere between 50 and 100 jobs in an economy of 150 million working people."
Oh, and...
It was reported here
, here
, and here
that Boehner owns stock in seven Canadian tar sand companies and stands to make financial gains if the pipeline is built. Boehner’s financial disclosure shows he purchased stock in Canada’s tar sand companies in 2010, so it is no stretch of the imagination to assume he bought stock in time to profit from the pipeline’s construction, and it explains his rabid push to get it started.
Imagine my surprise.... :Scared: You need a new talking point--That one has been disproven so many times it's growing barnacles.
Hey, I know how we can create even MORE jobs.... Let's restart all of the women's health clinics and Planned Parenthood! Those would be long-term, high-paying professional jobs, and it would certainly be more than the 2-3000 temp jobs on a project that does nothing but steal the land from Nebraska citizens, and rape the environment!!!
And, yes, temp jobs rebuilding the infrastructure are worth more than a project that does nothing but steal the land from Nebraska citizens, and rape the environment!!!
Gotcha!!
So, that's all you got--now that your lies have been busted again---temp jobs?
