I found this to be a very interesting article, especially when trying to discern the line between the Tea Party and the more radical Sovereign Movement

That's a clear bright line. One group believes in using violence to achieve their ends and the other believes that the answer lies in the ballot box. Not really any more difficult to distinguish between those two groups and Sierra Club and Earth Liberation Front for instance . . .

Sovereign Citizen on Trial for Bogus Liens
Posted: 17 Jun 2014 03:55 PM PDT

The trial of "sovereign citizen" Cherron Phillips begins today in Chicago federal court on charges she slapped huge liens on then-U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, then-Chief Judge James Holderman and other top federal court officials. Phillips, 44, who also goes by the name of River Tali El Bey, allegedly filed bogus liens in court on the officials' homes in 2011 that sought tens of billions of dollars. Phillips has professed in court that she doesn't recognize the federal system and has refused to cooperate with her court-appointed counsel.

You mean like the Sovereign citizens who murdered the Las Vegas policemen while they were dining and the Sovereign citizen who shot the Forest Service employee and police officer today? The distinction is that so called Sovereign citizens employ murder and assault as opposed to the ballot box.

How many people have been murdered by the Earth Liberation Front?

I'm not sure that the Tea Party is all about the ballot box, just based on their name. Two faces of the same stone I'd guess is more accurate.

Some people dislike what Washington is doing and wash their hands of the process, but others when they don't get their way want to burn things down and shoot people. Luckily most people are more reasonable.

And sometimes right-wing domestic terrorists murder as many as 12 law-enforcement officers, and fly their aircraft into IRS buildings....

Will the Sovereign movement pick up steam as people see fines increase for not having health insurance as required by ACA? Already the number of people renouncing their citizenship is rising.
